  1. He couldn't have done it without Duncan!, Will!, and I. It was great to be there for his final find ... at one of my own caches by the way. Here's a shot of his big moment. He said he was bushed but very relieved. Yucca! Yucca! Uhhhhhhhhhh, just which cache was that? Guess we need gloves next trip! Splashette Not to worry, I dumped the ... uhm ... fluid out of the container. That's just too funny. But congrats to Flagman on the HOF.

  4. Congrats to the Splashes!!!! They are so fun to cache with! WoooooHoooooooooo!!! WTG Steve and Janie!
  5. Another option if you forgot your ink stick of choice but for some reason remembered your camera. Take a picture of your GPS and the log and load it into the log entry. Just make sure your not posting a spoiler pic.
  6. Beat me to it! Great Job! Lots of fun racking these up this spring!

  9. OMG I hope John hurries home soon..... John who? Start loading the FJ! We are so there! Do I really need to go to work! Mrs.K said she would go this week if someone wants to drive.... Can I go? Sounds like a ROAD TRIP to us!!! Anyone? The Splashes wondering if camping is permitted along the roads...we think the series could be done in less than 30 continuous hours of power caching...Could be fun...Denice is sorta willing to go this week if somone wants to drive....We are busy next weekend...can't wait to get out there...nothin wrong with a good numbers trail...we have cached in the area of the trail and really liked it...may need to train for this one... I think they're done submitting them now, and the final count is somewhere around 525!! Absolutely! Road trip and tents. Sounds like a great weekend.
  10. Reservations made today. We'll be out on Friday morning for some local caches and then waiting for the 25 to get released Sat morning.
  11. Reservation made for the HOJO. Dragging out GeoDC and wife along. Going to hit town Friday morning knock out some local caches. Try to see how many event caches we can wrangle up (25 to be released Sat. Morning). We'll be back in town for the flash mob and warm up event. And of course some of that great tri tip and and CITO before bouncing on home.
  12. One of my favorites. Half way between Julian and Santa Isabel. Nice little hiking loop. Great Kodak moment at the cache. There is one other in the same park by the picnic tables. It's a small log only cache. The CG is GCDB3D Cows in the meadow.
  13. I just saw that list. WOW! Do new jeeps get to start at the front? I could use as many raffle tickets as I can get to get my hands on some of that booty. Where is everyone camping? Somewhere off of main street? Will skillett be able to blow through the thick quicksand at his place? Do we need to soak it down further so we all get a head start ? We'll be out on Friday afternoon / evening. I know GeoDC has a spot lined up but not sure where yet. Can't wait to get back to the desert!
  14. Bookmarked, replied and will be there with foul weather gear if neccesary. Anyone wanting to trade PT's I'll have my signature PT's with me.
  15. JJ keep up the great work. Is there a place where we can send notes or letters of support to assist in your fight to have a realistic pricing? I wonder if Yuma realizes how much revenue is actually brought in by Hotel, Campgrounds, Lutes, fuel and batteries purchased throught out the weekend.
  16. fixed (let's see if THAT livens the crowd) It wouldn't be a Yuma Event without the Warmup. Yuma was my first ever event. What a weekend. Truly enjoyed fishing in the rain and the warm up. Archived or not I'm sure we can pack the place...again. Hopefully this year we can do alot more caching around the event.
  17. I really need to keep a closer eye on the forums. Glad to have met Randy at the Fat Cats event and so glad for the good news. I hope he's home by now and everything is prgessing on track for both Randy and his brother.
  18. After attending Event #6 and now having funds after starting the new job. We're in! Can't wait.
  19. Every time I read this it brings tears to my eyes We lost one of our Basenji's in March. We still miss her dearly. Her death affected our Male basenji something horrible. We're also volunteer in the breed resuce group and we found another Basenji in need of a home. I don't know if this is the right place or not. But if any of you loose a beloved pet please think of Friends Forever Services in San Marcos. They were immessurable when we dealt with our loss. Friendsforevercremation.com
  20. The cheapest place I've found for these bags are the Gem / Bead shows. (We're lucky enough to have several shows a year here in San Diego) There are usally one or two tables that sell displays and baggies. For ease or immediate need 3rd for Micheals.
  21. Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery for both of you following surgery. I'm sure many well pitch to help achieve the quest before surgery.
  22. Pathtags starter set would be nice. pathtags.com
  23. Due to un forseen travel and illness I've been holding onto one for about 4 weeks. I got a very polite e-mail from the coin's owner last week asking about the coin. I explained my situation and my plan for moving her coin. She e-mailed me back wishing me good health and approved of my plan. A little tact and manners can go along way.
  24. Easier said then done Geocaching is really IED training without the consequenses of a DNF!!!! But wait until you get home and find a monster cache behind a guard rail and all that training comes back. Roadblocks 600m fore and aft 9 line UXO reports and yell at your friends to hit the deck and scanning the horizon for a triggerman or camera.
