  1. Hey that's looking pretty good now I'm in the less mules is better camp as well... and I'd replace cache or die with badwater. I also think the state outline can be dropped and include more of the whitney ridge as budd-rdc alluded to earlier. Kudos for enduring all of the feedback and thanks for all the effort.
  2. Looking for an April Geocoin Club coin. Have GBA coin club microchips or spring coins to trade.
  3. I found this on the opening Dowdy Ranch from a mt biking forum, this one doesn't mention paving of the road. "......They had been talking about this May for a long time (well, they were talking about last fall before that), but as that date gets closer, the opening seems to be getting farther away. The first problem is that the contractor has not finished everything to the state's satisfaction. It sounds like it's not much, but we can't do anything with the area until the contractor is finished and the state agrees that everything is as it should be. Secondly, we didn't get any staff with the development (this is what is always expected when a new facility is added). With the little visitor center and other buildings prone to vandalism, we can't just leave the area unstaffed. There's talk about trying to get a camp host, but I don't think anyone has done anything about that yet. I'm guessing that we'll hear soon that the planned opening will be this fall--I'd guess it will be the fall of 2007 at the earliest (I'm not really a pessimist, I just know how state time works). Sorry I'm not of too much help in this. Keep in touch and I may know more later....." Although it would be nice to be able to drive back in there I think I'd prefer to see that side stay more wild.
  4. Assuming that is Dowdy Ranch(which now has a cache ) It has been completed but supposedly cannot be opened until the road is paved. Not sure if Nazgul has heard more.
  5. I dropped a V3 Moun10Bike geocoin out in Henry Coe State Park in California this weekend. The shortest and easiest route to get there is 34 miles round trip with about a 5700' elevation gain unless you wait until Backcountry weekend next April when it drops to an 8 mile hike. Here's the cache listing. Anybody know of good stories of crazy hikes or road trips to grab a Moun10Bike coin? I know budd-rdc has one
  6. I'll put one aside for you just in case
  7. Well I am still waiting for the pewter coin that I traded a Texas Autumn for god knows how many months ago
  8. Yeah turns out they were sent parcel post That's funny. Cause I think the flat rate priority box might have been cheaper. Was the postage less than $8.10? $9.92 postage. So yeah flat rate would have been much better, that's how most of the club shipments are shipped.
  9. Were they sent parcel post? Yeah turns out they were sent parcel post
  10. The GBA club coins arrived today in California... all 60 of 'em. They're postmarked the 23rd. Still waiting for the pewter coin that we traded for though but I suppose I can't complain too much on this post I hope everyone else gets theirs soon.
  11. Well I am hoping to receive 180 coins since my order shipped on the 17th, the 23rd and the 27th. I'll have a bunch of freebies for everyone who doesn't receive theirs
  12. Nothing in California again today but I'm now assured that they shipped on the 23rd.
  13. I think I'll stop shaving until they show up And I'll correct my previous post: Nothing received in San Jose today since some did arrive elsewhere in CA.
  14. Back side: Less mules, less stuff... I like the sign with an ammo can and background mtns. Front side: I'd go with Whitney only and drop the state outline, bear, tree, poppies and quails. I prefer no color but blue and gold does look good. Thanks for all the effort and putting up with criticism
  15. Nothing in California

    Moses Coin

Surely a for profit coin producer like you can spare a few bucks to buy this one?
  17. You know it wouldn't take Ross(I secretly read the forums) much effort to post an update and shut us all up would it?
  18. Nothing in CA and no response from Ross.... the frustration level is rising again.
  19. Man I hope so.... Nothing in California today, still waiting for 60 regulars and one pewter. Also no response to emails asking if they shipped on the 17th, 23rd or 27th.
  20. Bullit owes me a beer if ours arrive tomorrow. --Marky I'll buy you just half a beer my friend
  21. Well said. I concur 100%.
  22. No coins in California...
  23. Nothing in California... for some reason I'm not surprised.
  24. Being that monday(minus 1 order on saturday) was the 1st day that these coins started showing up I'd wait a day or 2 now. Heck you waited for them since november. And no I'm not sticking up for anybody but just hate to see you spend alot of time filing complaints and your coins show up while you are at the filing/complaint office. But then again I'm not out 100's of $$ either Point taken but complaints are easily filed online. I'm working off the day he sent me an email saying my coins had shipped which was the 17th... not one of the new dates he provided in here. I gave him 10 days to allow for first class mailing times(2-9 days). I emailed him on the 24th to ask if they actually shipped -- no response. I think I've been more than patient. If they show up today or tomorrow or in a month they still took over 4 months to arrive. Don't forget that he's had the freaking coins in hand since February with no little or no communication with buyers and/or traders(I'm in both camps unfortunately).
  25. Well this is 10 days since I was assured for at least the second time(not counting posts in here) that my 60 coins had shipped. Since the GBA coin club is out $358.50 including $13.50 for shipping I'll be filing my complaints with Paypal and USPS now. I'm done waiting for these coins to show up, my glass is empty and I'm not a very trusting person anymore. Which is a shame since I've purchased close to 4000 geocoins without any problems until now.
