  4. Ok my vista hcx works awsome in missouri but when I got to Florida and ready to do some cachinga all I could see was ythe major hwyways. So I reset unit and did the updates and ect. I looked o what maps I had and it only shows Missouri city navigator N America 2008.Is this normal ?I have all the disc that came with it at home but wondering is there a way I can load maps for thestates on my way home.I also have a 2GB card with some files on it but have kno idea what they are or for.It contains 11 gpx files and a folder Garmin with one file gmapsupp.img..Any help would be great. thanks
  5. I think mailing them defeats the purpose of moving from cache to cache. They are intended to make their way via geocachers.Myself I want mine to visit every cache and have as many people as possible log its journey and if it has a destination that is 2 states away but goes around the world to get there than that is even better.Like I said earlier I pick up all TB's and coins and move them along even if its not totally in the right direction.I will not place it in a cache that it has already been in though .
  6. I take everyone I can get and log it /move it no matter what.Tb's/geocoins are what makes it interesting. I look for caches with them and then take them to one that doesn't.I try not to keep stacking TB/coins up in one cache.I personaly love moving them around.
  7. I also use the Iphone for description and hints if i forget while out caching with my Garmin Vista HCx.I wish you could download caches via usb from iphone to GPS-- that would be great. We also use laptop when we are out of town for finding caches on the go.Just become premium member 10 mins. ago so can't wait to use those features
  8. well the big guy brought my son and I the Garmin Vista HCx.We have found about 8 geocaches so far with it ..LOVE IT
