Shouldn't be much of an issue. You will just need to you the green US custom form on all mailings but it should just be like mailing in the states. If you are concerned with the PO questioning what you are sending just get to know them and show them what you are sending. Team Sand Dollar

For anyone still looking for my 2006 and 2007 coins I still have some available for trade but quantities are getting low. Check out my wish list in my signature line below for what I am looking for. I do try and keep it up to date but some of the newer coins will be missing and since I purchase very few I probally need them too. Team Sand Dollar

Do coins really have to be made in every possible metal? Pick a finish that looks the best. For The Legend of the Sand Dollar geocoins there were 3 different coins (backs were different on each of the three coins) and each was to be done in only one finish. All part 1 coins in Gold, all part 2 Silver, and all part 3 coins in copper. Due to an error at the mint I ended up with 10 Part 2 coins in Gold and 2 Part 1 coins in Silver coins. All part 3 coins were only available in Copper. So for this coin I was planning on only one finish per coin. Additionally they were traded/sold as a set as it took all 3 coins to complete the story and I didn't want any odd coins especially if one finish was more desired than the others. Team Sand Dollar

For anyone that was interested in getting one of the coins I have one of the Part3 copper coins and a couple of the Part 2 Gold coins (error) available for trade. I have 4 possible trades for the remaining 3 sets so no more of the sets are available. Team Sand Dollar

Did someone say PINS!! Yes. When I had the TSD-LSD coins done I got some extra micro coins done and while I was at it I had some pins done. The pins use only the front side so they do not have my name on them. Team Sand Dollar

I have done many trades and lot of them do evolve into multiple trades. The funny thing is of the deals that I have done that have had problems have always been with traders that have been around awhile. it seems these people drop off the face of the earth and will never email you back. I am less worried about the coins as I am about what happened. I've never had a trade go bad with a new trader. Team Sand Dollar

I am looking for a little feed back on my last coin "The Legend of the Sand Dollar". Based on my previous coins I had expected a little better results with this one but in the end only had 100 sets made. I really feel that this discussion is missing the point. There are certain coins that were never meant to be sold. This was the wish of the originator and even if the coin had passed through many hands this limitation is still in place. It really doesn't matter how you got the coin but the simple fact is that we should honor the originators request. I have a Moun10Bike V1, Jeep'en Jumpers, Ajayhawkfan and others in my collection. I acquired these by either finding them, trading with the originator, or trading with someone else. They are all in my collection legally and I consider that I do own them even though they are activated under the originators name. And although I do own them I would never consider selling any of them unless I had permission from the originator. The simple reason for this is that this is the originators desires and I feel I should honor that. Team Sand Dollar

Why sell a coin that the original owner never wanted sold? There are many coins out there that the original owners wanted to be trade only and I feel it is only right to honor their requests. As for the following statement "..that in the end we are talking about pieces of metal that have no intrinsic value" I must differ with you. The coin has value to the person who originally designed it, it has value to those that have been lucky enough to own one, and plenty of value to those that are willing to buy it. I understand the you may be in need of funds and must sell off your collection in order to make ends meet. But a better solution would be to trade these special coins for coin(s) of equal value that are more exceptable to sell on Ebay. This way you can reach your goal while not upsetting the original owner of the coin. Team Sand Dollar

Since I have found out from the mint that they can not produce this coin as a 2-tone due to the too many letters on the back I have decided to limit this coin to the 100 sets produced (plus 8 error coin) as listed below. There will be no production of another finish as I had been planning. 98 regular sets (Part 1 Gold, Part 2 Silver, Part 3 Copper) 2 special sets (Part 1 Silver, Part 2 Gold, Part 3 Copper) ( since I know of only 2 error Silver coins) 8 addition error Gold coins with part 2. I have 3 sets left plus will have 8 more when the replacement coins arrive. I will also except trades for the error coins. Team Sand Dollar

I have been very lucky with my POs ( i use 2 different ones) as most of my packages go through as first class large envelope which is $.80 for the first oz and $.17 for each additional oz. This works will for mailings of up to 4 coins at a time but much over this it is considered a first class package a $1.13 for the first oz and $.17 for each additional oz. This is with using 6x9 mailers. Then again when the change came out I did have to explain the new rules to them since even the workers at the PO didn't quite understand it. But after a while we were able to work out the rates for the packages I was taking in. Of course it doesn't hurt if the clerks are wearing TSD geopins and you are an "ex disgruntled postal employee" . Team Sand Dollar
