  1. Is it ethical for an approver to be FTF on cache that was approved by him/her within hours of being approved? Also is it ethical for an approver to help out a close friend in solving puzzle caches (that him/her approved) in order for the friend to try to be FTF on a cache?
  2. Between 30 and 40 minutes, but not to find the cache. I had the cache in my hands and wanted to replace it. I had taken it to my car to sign the log and trade since it was an urban cache. As soon as I got done, a man came along and sat right in front of the cache location. He made a phone call and smoked a rather large cigar before he finally left. I was FTF and wanted to make sure everyone else got a shot at it. I called home and let my family know I was going to be late because I had to put the cache back in hiding.
  3. Unless you have bushwacked a mile through the forest and given blood to mosquitos and thorns for a piece of plastic you could have gotten at the Dollar store a mile from your house. And then thought to yourself, this was fun.
  4. I saw on American Idol extra that they play to camera because they are instructed to play to the camera. The producer said that there are a small number of people in the audience and they need play to veiwers at home because they represent the most votes.
  5. Got mine yesterday. Sweeeeeeeettttttt.
  6. Elliott, Ace and Katherine with Elliott going home.
  7. Then you might be interested in the following yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/centralvageocaching/ There are a number of cachers in Richmond and from other events, there are a number in SW VA, Norther VA and Hampton Roads area.
  8. Most definitely need one of each when the become available. Glad we made the drive up to Maryland for that one.
  9. We use playing cards with different pictures on them. We currently only have ace, king, queen, and jack of hearts, queen of clubs, queen of diamonds and two jokers.
  10. I wasn't getting the instant notification but I got one today for a cache that I found two days ago.
  11. One important thing to remember was that she was a suspect and if she didn't have the trowel, she would not still be a suspect. This allowed them to show that she had a digging tool she could use to bury the hood and gun. They were still working on trying to keep the audience thinking that she was the real killer. At first I thought she had buried the cache, but when they were able to pick the cache up with any digging, I just assumed that she didn't want to get her hands dirty (some cacher she is) retrieving and replacing the cache.
  12. Had three goals until this past Saturday. 1. Attend a caching event: Richmond River Ralley this past Saturday. 2. Get an FTF - Barker Bonanza this past saturday. 3. Hit 100 caches. Did that this past Saturday which just happened to coinside to 4 months caching to the day we signed up. Now I have to go back and come up with an entire new set of goals or just quit caching altogether. And I don't think quitting is an option.
