  1. Looks like they did mess up the "I" in the flag. All the pics I have seen show an actual "I", not just a line.
  2. If there are still some coins unspoken for, we'll take 5, or however many you can spare up to 5. Niki of the Dzrtgrls
  3. We received our Avroair coins today too. They look great! Thanks Avroair. Niki of the Dzrtgrls
  4. I know this is a little off topic, but does anyone know what company made the Geowoodstock III coins? We are looking into making a coin and really like how theirs turned out, or at least the pictures look good. Edit: Scratch the above. I had an e-mail waiting with the answer. If anyone else cares to know, they were made by KV Coins. Thanks IceCreamMan. Niki of the Dzrtgrls
  5. Any chance the Rubicon coins are for sale, or are they for trade only? They look great!
  6. A while back I ordered a copy of the 1902 1/125,000 Corona, CA quadrangle from USGS. The info stamped on the bottom of the map copy follows: US Department of the Interior Geological Survey Historical File – Topographic Division National Cartographic Information Center 507 National Center Reston, VA 22092 Phone (703) 860-6045 They may be able to help you. 7. We'd like to be added to the list for 5 coins. Thanks.
  8. We're good for 5 brass if you have that many left. Let us know and we'll PayPayl the $. Thanks.
  9. We're interested in 5.
  10. I thought I’d put the word out early that I will be passing through Johannesburg on my way home to California from Botswana. If anyone wants to hand over any items, figuring signature items and TBs, for placement in California caches, I’d be happy to take them with me. I will be at the airport in Johannesburg August 15, 2005 from 2:00PM to 9:00PM. If you have items you want to pass on, just send me an e-mail (dzrtgrls@cox.net) or post on the forum so we can make arrangements. Niki of the Dzrtgrls
  11. If you have any coins left we'd like 5, or however many you can spare. Please advise. Thanks.
  12. SilverMarc, we'd be interested in 5 of your geocoins. Assuming they are still available, should we make payment through PayPal to reserve them?
  13. We'd be good for 5 if you end up ordering more. Just let us know and we'll PayPal the $. Thanks.
  14. We'd like 5 if possible. We'll send PayPal payment tonight. Thanks. Dzrtgrls - 5
  15. For about a year now my shoe of choice has been Merrell’s Pulse II Low Cross-Training Shoe. I wear these everyday, including days I go hiking. I never know when I might step off the pavement, so I like to be prepared. I do tend to go through them fairly quickly, but then again I go through most shoes pretty fast. You can check out the men’s version here.
  16. Gridlox, If you e-mail us we will send you the Spanish version of the stash note for a micro cache that we plan to use. It's pretty close to the regular Spanish stash note, but in bookmark format and with a few redundant items removed. Dzrtgrls
  17. We’ve recently come down with geocaching fever and are getting ready to add a geocaching section to www.dzrtgrls.com. We really enjoy checking out the blogs and websites of fellow geocachers. It gets the creative juices flowing. Dzrtgrls
  18. We searched for our first benchmark last weekend on the way to visit with family. The recent rains had caused the weeds and bushes to grow larger than usual so the ground was not visible. I came up with the whacky idea to come back with our metal detectors (White’s DFX & MXT) to find it. Now I find out that this is common. Good to know. We’re looking forward to swinging the detectors soon in search for our first benchmark. Dzrtgrls
  19. Thank you 2oldfarts and others for the benchmark lessons. I especially found the instructions for downloading the dat files from NGS, using BMGPX to convert them to gpx files, and then using GSAK to view them. I like to export the waypoints to Delorme’s 3D TopoQuads and was becoming frustrated with downloading 25 at a time from the Geocaching site. You sure have saved me a lot of time. Thanks also to Xangxa for posting the workaround that I needed to use the gpx files in GSAK. Now I guess it’s time for me to get out there and find some benchmarks. Dzrtgrls
