  1. I agree whole heartedly with "Tin Sparrow's" response to the proposed legislation, however, I do think that for the ensuing meetings that we adopt the same basic approach - do not fight the negative aspects as presented, just agree that every sport, hobby, or endeavor of any kind always has negative happenings and irresponsible participants (& probably always will). From that point on, every positive aspect of geocaching should be emphasized -the educational learning, CITO, the economical impact on society, the influence on family life including the growth of childrens' character, group activity, etc. The negative aspects possibly created by a few can definitely be dwarfed by the overall positive aspects of Geocaching!
  2. A question for the forum I need help setting-up a pocket query from Groundspeak. I've tried everything trying to find out how to do a query. Although Groundspeak makes sure one knows that a query is one of the benefits of being a member, they leave it rather obscure how one goes about doing that little tidbit. I would like to set up a query to download up to 200 caches once a week. How do I do that?
  3. How does one get a pocket query set-up with Groundspeak? As a premier member I'm supposed to be able to get pocket queries. This is explained in detail, however, they leave out how you go about doing that. I've exhausted all possible avenues and have been unable to find out how to get a pocket query setup for downloading available cache pages to my PC; ultimately, to my handheld GPS and PalmOne. Any help would be appreciated. The "Old Duffer"
  4. I want to thank everyone that responded to my cry for help - especially Mtn-Man who really jumped in and provided me the needed guidance to get my cache up and running. I've learned a lot and I shall attempt to assist when ever I can. Again, thank you for your help. The Old Duffer.
  5. I made sure that the box for currently active was checked! I had deployed the cache before submitting the form. Man, what a mistake!
  6. It's kind of hard to delete something that has never been acknowledged as being submitted.
  7. Eight times! The only acknowledgments have been computer generated replies. Even the emails where I attached detailed description of the cache elicited replies of unable to find your submittal.
  8. Yes, I'm mad! I've been trying for 6 days, now, to gain approval from geocaching.com for a new cache location but have, todate, only wasted my time. I've submitted my cache information around eight times either by form or email and have never had any acknowledgement except that they cannnot find my submittal info. What is going on. I am a member in good standing and have adhered to all the standards of requesting a cache approval. How does one call someone to get a problem like this cleared-up. No amount of email has solved anything.
