  1. Any geocache events in the Tampa area in the next three months? We are visiting cachers here till June 1..RV paces
  2. Please write me the web site URL for accessing and downloading the "Cacheregister" program for the DeLorme PN40 I put it on my computer and it works great, but I can't remember where I got it to tell my friend who wants it for her GPS. Thanks RV Paces
  3. Something must have been deleted from my computer. All of a sudden when I bring up the map and ask for locations of geocaches to be shown they are not shown at all. It shows zero caches when I know on that location there are many to be shown. The computer has a block showing it is searching for geocaches but they never appear. My wife's laptop brings them up right away with the same login. You can reply directly to kenpace@rvpaces.
  4. Thanks Atlanta Gal, but no luck. I have searched 10 sites with coins. I wrote to the maker of the coin. No luck. I don't know what to do with the coin except keep it and never activate it. Too bad they make it so hard to replace a missing code.
  5. looked at many sites. can't find where I can get the lost activation code for my Great Smokey Mountain geoquest coin, April 1 and 2nd 2006. A fellow gave me this uncirculated coin at the California Mega Event in Temecula. I lost the code.
  6. I lost the activation code on the paper the coin came with. My coin is Great Smoky Mountains Geoquest, april 1st and 2nd 2006 . I received it from a nice fellow at the Temecula, CA mega event.
  7. I'm going to Germany Nov.9th to Dec. 20th. where is this coin place? maybe I can go get some and bring them back for the club and save the postage.
  8. I'd doubt the reviewer is going to unarchive that cache and then move it. Sounds like you need to start over. I thought you were trying to move a new replacement cache? A brand new cache with no history of finds I would expect your reviewer would move quite a bit, but if you're talking about unarchiving an old hide with a lot of finds and moving it, no way. You're altering the history of the hide. All the people who found it in its original location (and whatever travel bugs moved through) all have their history altered. Yes, I started over, made it a new listing with Reborn in the title. It's been approved, and found 4 times in the first day.!!! thanks
  9. I tried to contact the local reviewerwith no luck. the cache I'm trying to relocate is still marked archived. I told the reviewer it's very close to "old" location, not much more than 500 ft. On same trail as other one. but still no answer. How do I get an answer or should I just give in and detail out a new cache?
  10. [ If you are talking about the ROT-13 Jauary geocoinclub coin, you retrieve your activation code for those here: http://www.geocoinclub.com/code.php --Marky OK I tried again and it seems to have worked. they said activation code will be sent to my e-mail. thanks cachers!
  11. tried website but they keep calling for the activation code which I lost , I guess it was on the mailing envelope. The activation code is a unique code located on the packaging for each Travel Bug. When activated, the Travel Bug will be assigned to your user account. This way you can modify its own personal page. Enter your activation code below LOST THAT
  12. Activating a new Travel Bug Below is what I need to activate my new January geo-coin. However, I tossed the envelop out and I now realize the activation code was written on it. So now I have the coin # but no activation code. Can't seem to find out how to get a new code. Any help out there? 13. Thanks. Got a couple good pictures from your presentation. Thanks everyone for your input. I will proceed to put together this 1 hr. seminar. Wish me luck. !!
  14. thanks for the hint. I have contacted IowaAdmins and thanked him. It's a great tool and I think I can tweek it for CA. usage. I will have to do some homework to get the rules for areas around this state.
  15. I'm giving a seminar in April to about 200 interested beginner geocachers. I wondered if anyone out in GeoLand had put together a powerpoint or other program that I could use for my teaching. I'm calling the seminar Geocaching From The Road. It's for full time RV'ers. I want to show them how much fun they can have while on the road. Caching everywhere they travel and staying healthy at the same time. I did it last year and used some overhead projector pages that I created. I'd like to go "high" tech this year and use my lap top and a movie screen to project. Any help or ideas would be welcomed. I saw a great presentation in San Diego , CA last year but can't remember who did it or where I can get it.
  16. way cool. show us the finished item. putting a GPS in his hand or around the neck would be perfect. Can we buy one????
  17. Do I understand that Virtual caches are no longer accepted ? I went to a good one today in Yuma, made the coordinants and description and now can't make a cache out of it. I guess I could go back and plant a box to make it "legal", but it was a place I won't be going to soon. Great place to visit once. Any way around this?
  18. Speaking of RULES! I would like to remind all cachers to beware of caching ALONE. Not a good idea. Also, WEAR YOUR GEAR. Not a good idea to hike these trails in sandles. I found out the hard way. Here I sit for 2 months with a broken ankle. Oh, it was just a little trail up in Mill Valley , CA. NOT, I slipped and broke the ankle in 3 places. After surgery, 2 steel plates and 7 screws, I am mending slowly. No caching for me for 4 or 5 months. Boo Hoo. Use your senses and wear hiking boots. Bring a friend and cell phone and water. My husband was with me and he could call the hospital, and he toted me 1/4 mile on his back down the path to the car. Wow I'm glad I wasn't alone. Reading these posts makes me jealous. wish I was out there with you. Have fun in Big Bear. Sue from RV Paces- Carlsbad CA I have a picture to post, but not sure how to do it here.
  19. I'm not talking about people that are not primium members. But when I click on view map, and then ask to identify a cache a d a list of the 20 nearby caches are identified. SEE COPY BELOW . this page of caches does not show the Coordinants. Why not???? It has everything else. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Icons (D/T) Description Placed Last Found 1 E 194ft (1/1) Your Kind of Place by PackerTrekkers (GCK61H) California 3 Aug 04 07 Aug 05 07 Aug 05 2 NE 0.7mi (1/2) Hey! 20. can anyone tell me why the coordinants are not listed on the log page when you bring up a list of caches in a certain area. It lists the hints, GC #, maps, logs, ect. But then you have to log onto each cache one by one to locate the coordinants. Is this a "keep secret from mugglers" issue? Just wondered. Sometimes I see a group of caches I want to go hunt, but don't have time to print out or read each page. sure would be nice to have them on the list.
  21. I am getting notification of a cache that is NOT on my watchlist. I deleted it a long time ago. It does not show on my list, but I still get notice when someone finds it. I don't know why or how to get rid of it. Tech. glitch I guess
  22. boy am I steamed. I brought a white JEEP home from a cache in Livingston Texas to California. I opened a new cache in our area and gave a heads up to my local geocache friends to watch for approval of new cache with white jeep. cache called "the white box". It isn't even approved yet as I submitted it today. tonight I have 2 e-mails that someone found it from the cache, and another took it somehow from him. ??? How does that happen? Am I missing something. I even put the cache for members only. How did they see it before approval????? I'm dissappointed that our local friends didn't get a chance to dash for the cache. I was so excited to find the JEEp in Texas while on vacation. Boy there must be some idiots out there if all they are doing is hording jeeps. how childish. Oh well, I'll just go back to my regular caching. I do love it. It keeps me healthy.
  23. for some reason I get an exception log box when opening any GSAK file It says INVALID INDEX EXPRESSION [(GSAK_Des L(desc)].Unable to open table: C:\Program Files\GSAK\data\Cambria\Correct.dbf. then a box checked with restart box with OK a box with details a check saying send this error via e-mail a check saying attach a screen shot image a box to check copy to clipboard can't close program, can't delete program off computer, can't answer any questions on exception log. crashes my whole computer. I have to pull plug and re-boot. all other programs work, but when I re open GSAK I get the same box as described above. I tried to go into my programs and delete GSAK and now I can't even find it. I re-downloaded it from internet, got new icons on desktop, tried to ipen and same Exception log showed up. HELP HELP. I need to get a trip ready by tomorrow and I NEED GSAK!!!
