I was looking for a cache in a semi local park one day and I saw a really promising hole, stuck my hand in there and grabbed the pvc thing that was down there already getting that "I found it yeah!" -feeling only to realise that the thing I found was someone's DIY waterpipe (a bong!) Well I forgot about that and kept searching and after a couple minutes I found an another hole and guess what? It was an another bong! I did find the cache nearby later but what a tease!

Usually I have a backpack with a bottle of water, gpsr, pen & paper, my jacket for rain, two flashlights, two lighters, gloves, bandana and a multitool. I have all of these minus the gpsr with me at all times but if I don't take the jacket I carry them in a smaller gasmask bag.
