  1. Does Allanon know how to throw a party, or what? It was great fun seeing everyone who was there tonight.
  2. AnalogDog was not speaking for me on this one! I am *completely* stoppable...there are more waypoints than I'd like to admit that I haven't been able to find in the history of my geocaching experiences! That being said, I've been alternately looking forward to and wary of Frink's Folly, and Seward Park, for at least a year!
  3. Just noticed that evergreenhiker! found his 2600th cache a few days ago along the banks of the Stillaguamish River.
  4. I think that evergreenhiker! should be added to fishiam's freshman class list--or, maybe as an inspiration to (or precursor of) the freshman class. Although he's out of Seattle FTF-range in his new house up north, I believe he does have at least 130 first-to-finds.
  5. I plan to be there on Saturday morning with jcar... ...as for "unstoppable," I think "intrepid" would be a more accurate adjective for jcar. I know for a fact that jcar would NOT refer to himself as "the resident expert", at least not in Seattle. In my book, though, he does qualify as the Snohomish County Cachemeister.
  6. Shoot, I was going to make that announcement...but caching is fun, rain or shine! The milestone fell at a great hydnsek cache in a spooky, dark, and soggy McMansionville neighborhood. Congrats, k7-wave!
  7. I'm resisting the urge to find the rest of Dayspring's marvelous tubular caches right away...the first three are outstanding, and of those three, the third is my favorite. I took my son back to that one when I found it, because I knew he would enjoy it. That's what these caches are like: I want to take other people there (cachers or not) to witness the ingenuity alongside of me. I'm looking forward to finding the next three in the series. I view Dayspring's caches much like Eraseek's...I like to savor the thought of finding these tantalizing caches in the future.
  8. Congratulations to blindleader on successfully completing the Washington Delorme Challenge. Now, THAT is the **ultimate** FTF!!!
  9. Wienerdog = Amazing!!! Congratulations, and MANY HAPPY RETURNS!!
  10. It looks like I won't be free until the afternoon tomorrow...have a great hike, everyone. I'll look forward to "hiking vicariously" by reading your logs.
  11. I would really look forward to a B-ham machine!
  12. I'd love to go on this perhaps-last-of-the-season hike next weekend. I'm not nearly as sore as I anticipated from the Mt. Si hike (note to self: let's see what tomorrow morning has to say about that!), although that's probably due to my slow-and-steady-wins-the-race pace. Perhaps we can have a "fast track" group and my "slower track" group for the hike next week. Would we consider meeting a little earlier with all of those caches to be found?
  13. I think it's exit 31, not 32. You can use Cruiser Guy's starting coords for his Under the Clock Tower cache (GCMDDM), which is right next to the Starbucks, or the following minutely-closer-to-Sbux coords: N 47 29.288, W 121 47.521. One reason I'm fairly certain it's exit 31 and not 32 is that it took me three separate tries to score CG's Clock Tower Night Cache, and I remembered taking exit 31 each blessed time. Anyway, the aforementioned coords are good for the meeting place no matter which exit you take! The weather looks great today--hope it holds for tomorrow.
  14. See you at the Starbucks...I'm looking forward to this!
  15. This looks good. I'd like to go if I can swing it.
  16. Thanks for the notice, Allanon...it's always fun to hit a milestone on a day caching with friends! I see several people hit #500 in recent days... globalgirl on the Alaska Cache and Dash Allanon on the PT/PA Cache Machine AnalogDog at Meadowdale County Park nevcowpok on the Mountain Loop Highway. Congrats to all on #5 !
  17. ohjoy! reached #2000 yesterday at Half Moon Cache! Here's another amazing milestone...she'll have her 100th cache placement by next week. Congratulations, Joy!
  18. For those of you taking the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry to the machine: If you have to wait for a few minutes, I have a cache in a small park right alongside the ferry waiting area on the Edmonds side. Be sure to start your caching day with this quick grab if you haven't already found it! Standing Wave GCPEBB http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...81-21da20c926af If you have to wait for the ferry on the Kingston side on your way home, there is a micro hidden by Seth! & Family near the waiting area. The puzzle part is optional--the coordinates given will lead you straight to the cache: Kingston Solo Microcache GC5DCA http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...d9-e3f85b0997e1 I'm looking forward to seeing people at the Saturday dinner, and throughout the day as our paths cross. Carolyn
  19. I'm sure my caching group of 4 will be at the dinner!
  20. I have found the challenge of the higher quality locationless caches very intriguing, and will miss them and the virtuals when they are all archived--the virtuals especially while I am traveling. So far I do not feel nearly the same interest in Waymarking. I was just thinking to myself, 'I wonder if there's a collection someplace of the do-anywhere (or "mislabeled") virtuals that I can try to log before the jig is up at the end of the year.' Thanks so much for starting this thread. I agree with Sagefox...these virtuals-that-are-really-locationless will be collectibles to those of us who have valued this kind of investigative caching. At least they weren't all arbitrarily archived without giving us a few months' warning time. These are the GC numbers of two of the caches that were listed above by whistler and co.: GC3DAF Hometown (Where Y'all From) GC58C4 Mom & Pop Motel Cache Thanks to my friend tolmaus for letting me know about this next one. I was able to log this "do anywhere" virtual a few months ago...it was the "up" side to receiving a speeding ticket while caching: GC38D4 >>FLITS<< aka Speed Trapped
  21. I placed an order for 4 coins. Thank you!
  22. I'd like to order 4, and will pay as soon as the PayPal link is operative. These look great. Thanks!
