Thanks everybody. I figured it probably wasn't important but not being able to find any information on it was aggravating. So far my GPS has exceeded my expectations and it seems like the more I learn about it the better I like it. It's kind of a shame that Garmin doesn't provide more documentation with these things.

I recently bought my first GPS unit- Garmin Etrex Legend Hcx. I've been fooling with it and have noticed something I can't find an explanation for. I understand that the satellite page shows the satellites that are above the horizon, which is represented by a circle. There's an icon on the horizon circle that I can't figure out. It's a grey sphere with a red dot in the center which moves, apparently randomly, along the horizon circle. Does anyone know what this is. Great site BTW.
