  1. Awesome thread! RN for 11 years, 5 years on GI unit and 6 years in Neuro/thoracic surgery unit. Gotta say, thanks to all those first responders out there!
  2. Old music CD's are always cool. Got any CD's from bands you don't like or listen to anymore? you could buy some discounted ones from the clearance or bargain bin. I've pretty much given up on swag, but do have a stash of kids toys I take with me for when my 11 yr old goes with me and she wants to trade.
  3. I have done several "tunnel hides" in the city. We are also having a problem with thieves stealing grates to storm and sewer drains as well as man hole covers and taking them to recycling centers. I understand that a storm drain (the kind that are near sidewalks) cost about $300 to replace and thieves get around $20 bucks or so for recycling. Is it possible the missing drain was stolen and might be replaced at some point?
  4. I would like to hear the other guys story on all of this. There are three sides to every story. His side, the other guys side, and then theres the truth. I'm not sayin, just sayin'. To add an opinion to a one sided story can get you into trouble. I'm in no way saying that you are lying, but since we don't know you it would be prudent to assume there is more to the story.
  5. Yes, I've done hides on islands before, but never where a canoe would be provided. that would be one of the problems, disappearing PFDs and canoes.
  6. I was thinking about cache hides, and came up with an idea. Since it would be impossible for me to hide one like this, I'd just thought I'd share the idea. Maybe there are ones like this that I don't know about. I know there would be certain problems with it, but it would be a blast! It would be a multi-stage, with stage one taking you to a PFD or "life jacket" or two, and next set of coords; Stage 2 would be a canoe with the next set of coords. Paddle across some water way to final location of cache. Like I said, I can't do anything like this, but it would fun to try this. Anyone know of such a hide?
  7. One potential problem is (maybe its already been addressed, if so, apologies) is that there could be two caches located only a few feet apart, each cache belonging to a different website? This maybe an extreme example, but with coords being jumpy at times, could there be confusion as to which cache you actually found? Someone, intentionally or unintentionally could place a cache close to another one?
