  1. Where can I get those *.gcd files I used to use for upgrading? Thx, Haferle
  2. AFAIK, changelog for 3.50 tells exactly the same story as 3.40 and 3.42 together. So, (1) why upgrading at all, if you've already installed 3.42beta ? (2) Seems, Garmin added some extra stuff (at least: some extra bugs ) without announcing. What could it be? Cheers, Haferle
  3. Doubt it or not - Tried Firefox several times on several days with no avail. After switching to IE I had no problems to renew my account. This doesn't mean to blame anything, but it surely doesn't mean to doubt anything either. Lucky me, the problem is postponed to next year for now when it comes to the next renewal ritual
  4. Hi, I tried to renew my account with firefox 3.5.5 severeal times. After pressing "go to next step" (or something like that) the website always redirected me back to the page where I had to enter all the credit card infos. After switching to IE (hoping that god would forgive me, but I was desperate to renew my account!) there were no problems. I'm sure, Groundspeak don't want to only let IE users pay their bill Ciao, Haferle
  5. Here you are: www.opencaching.de It's sufficient, fast, responsive, accurate and free - but it's not gc.com Ciao, Haferle
  6. I'm one of those rare 200 people, too. *Sigh*
  7. Sorry for interrupting, but I'm curious wether you use topo maps for Portugal? Because, I didn't find any ... Thx, Haferle
  8. Sometimes, I write stories as cache logs. Sometimes, I write connected stories across several cache logs. In order to give the reader easy access to the previous content I want to be able to set links to other log entries within a log entry, but I can't find a solution for that. So my question: Is it actually possible to set links within log entries, even local ones, i.e. linking to a local page (GC realm) ?? Thx, Haferle
  9. Just curious, the label in the system settings "GPS mode" is "WAAS" nevertheless?
  10. Hi folks, what I really appreciate is the handling of photos in the logs of caches: Having the log, beneath there's an area with thumbnails of attached pics and when I click on one of them, an overlay emerges and shows the photo in its original size. Very neat frame, too. Another story is the handling of photos in the section of TB logs. When I click on one thumbnail, the picture is blatantly displayed with no frame, and no controls. Why? Ciao, Haferle BTW.: Handling of photos in the galleries is different, too.
  11. Because it's historically inevitable [Karl Marx]
  12. Just ask them to rename the photo to "spoiler.jpg" or something like that. Should be enough to stop the unwilling log visitor.
  13. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I loaded both files as suggested, but no difference. However, after ordering a refreshed output of the same PQ another day, everything went fine. Probably YAM (yet another mystery)
  14. Hi folks, my newly arrived output of a pocket query doesn't show up in my oregon 300 - only the waypoints. The december output of just the same PQ on the other hand was perfectly ok. Any clues? Thanks, Haferle
