  1. Actually, I meant on the geocaching log details. When you go into your profile, you can look at your logs of caches found, caches you've left notes on, etc and one of the other choices is your list of DNFs. Much like on the main list of caches in an area you want to search where there is a checkmark next to the caches you've found, I think it might be helpful to have a checkmark next to the caches you've eventually found on your DNF list as well. When you're trying to pick up those errant, elusive caches at a later time, you wouldn't have to cross-reference the list against your 'Found' list.. plus there's a satisfaction of seeing how many of your DNFs you've finally did find.
  2. When I peruse my ever-growing DNF list on GC.com, I have often thought it would be useful to be able to see more easily which of the those DNFs I have subsequently found. I'm not suggesting deleting them from my list; after all, I honestly and often with great effort did not find them at least once. I just think it would be helpful to have a check mark (or some other indicator) on the DNF list by the caches I finally did find later. Is this possible/practical?
  3. Yes, I'm surprised it isn't already there. There are attributes for bikes, pets, ticks and poison ivy. It makes sense to add one for playgrounds.
  4. When you finally, triumphantly, after the umpteenth visit, find that elusive cache that's been sitting on your DNF list forever, do you delete the original DNF from the cache log or do you allow it to stay to commemorate, as it were, your initial defeat along with your final victory? Also, if you do delete the log, does it drop off of your DNF list? Ours is starting to get kinda long.
  5. We've used a TomTom 125 for geocaching with fairly good success. It has it's limitations to be sure but if you already have one, why not use it.
  6. I have a Garmin Legend HCX and a TomTom 125. Both work quite well for geocaching btw but my question is, can I use the car charger that came with the TomTom with my Garmin? They both seem to have the same rating for electrical input but I don't want to fry my Garmin. Also if I use a car charger with the Garmin should I be using rechargable batteries or doesn't it matter? Thanks.
  7. As a Web developer, myself, I do appreciate the amount of work and effort it takes to keep this site going. But I have to agree that the removal of the pdf function is a downgrade and very disappointing. I liked being able to batch a number of pdfs in Acrobat for later printing instead of printing them one at a time. There was more information on the pdf versions regarding coins, TBs, etc. and they definitely saved paper. SInce ecology seems to be an ongoing concern for geocachers they made sense. With the removal of that function, I now convert the cache pages to pdf myself (an ability I know isn't available to most since you need Acrobat to do that) and batch them into a "binder," but that makes for a two step process. And is more time consuming...I'd rather be out on the trails! I do hope you will reconsider the loss of the pdf function, if for no other reason than it saves paper, ink and eliminated the superfluous map when printing.
  8. My husband and I use a TomTom 125 and so far we've found all but one cache. We haven't been geocaching very long, have only been out four days with our new hobby, but have found 6 out of 7 caches that we've tried for. The TomTom has taken us to within 5 - 10 feet everytime. As I say, we are very new to this, but haven't had too many problems.
