  1. The only major predators of deer are GM, Ford, and the other auto manufacturers.
  2. Version 2.30 and Version 2.31 beta is available. Go figure, I just installed version 2.29d last night. It is getting hard to keep up with the updates.
  3. I have to say OK As long as the cache is very well put together. Good Luck Weezer
  4. Deja-vu... I think this was covered last year. Just remember: Those that place themselves so high on a pedestal have no choice but to look down on others.
  5. Perfect example as to why we all need to think. Some caches may be ok for night caching, but others are in no way appropriate for night caching. Think about it from the neighbors point of view. Some strange people moving about behind their houses(probably woke many of them up). It is very easly perceived that they might be doing something less than legal. Remember to try and leave no trace of your visit. This includes harrasing the wildlife and the neighbors. Weezer
  6. I have a Garmin Etrex vista with the data cable that came with it. The problem is the date cable will not plug into my laptop. I have seen that there is an adapter cable so you can plug RS232 into USB. I was wondering if anyone is doing this or has any experence doing this? Thanks Weezer
  7. Wow that is nice. Havent taken my palm caching yet. Have to find room in my pack. Thanks Weezer
  8. Guess I should make myself clear. I support locationless caches. I have only done one so far, but I read many of them and some are quite interesting. I do think some are kind of goofy, but then again I am sure someone likes the idea. Previous post was a little sarcastic. Weezer

  10. What about those types of caches that you dont need a gps to find. You know those ones, like those national monuments. Those you just simply need to read the cache discription. Boy you could really rack up those cach find numbers. With any luck you could probably find 12 or so in a day. I bet some of those could be done without even leaving your desk. Weezer
  11. In many areas the only predator to deer is...Ford, GM, and all the other auto manufactures.
  12. There have been other cases reported before, but it seemed more localized. Wisconsin's approach may seem quite drastic, but I guess this may be the only way to control the disease. There aren't any kind of vaccines yet and there hasn't been any studies showing if there is a possible threat to humans. If I understand it right it is similar to mad cow disease. Weezer
  13. I am figuring that you know about the Deer kill off that is going on in near by Wisconsin. They have found several carcases that tested positive for Cronic Waste Disease. So far there hasn't been any cases found in Illinois. It is not uncommon to find dead deer in the forest preserves in Illinois. They are estimating that the deer population in the United States is larger than it has ever been. Weezer
  14. It sounds like you just posted a note and not a find. If that is the case it will be to late to edit it. I would just go back and log it as a find. Weezer
  15. It seems to meet the requirements. I have seen coffee table books on skyscrapers and have even seen specials on the Discovery Channel. Seems to me that locationless is the steepchild of geocaching and doesn't have many supporters. Good luck Weezer
  16. I am not sure as to how I can log it into the cache I did in Indy, as I cant edit my log. I did email Moun10bike asking him though. Kernbob, drop me an email and we can see what we can work out. Weezer

  18. I would just post it as a not found. Its really no big deal, but if I dont actually touch it I havent found it. I have seen where people have claimed to be in the right spot and the cache must me missing only to find they just missed the cache. Just log it as a not found and email your concern that it is missing to the cache owner. Hopefully they will confirm its actual status. Weezer
  19. I am one of those people, I seen one of the geocoins from moun10bike was in my area and just had to get it. I planned on moving it to a cache when I was in Indy a month later. I managed to do one cache while I was there and it was a micro cache. (was only cache close enough to hotel as I didnt have my own transportation.) I have given some thought to possibly mailing it to another cacher maybe on the east coast, but think I will just be placing it back in my area soon. Such a long time to hold the coin only to place it a few miles or so away. The coin has traveled with me to Ohio and back then to Indy and back, alot of miles to not go far at all. So look for it to be realeased very soon. Weezer

  21. Just when you think you seen it all....... Sorry to hear about your cache. Weezer

  23. Big Dog, I was just looking into dog tags. Maybe with the Geocache logo on one side and a personal logo on the other. Drop me an email maybe it is something we can slip the cost on. Weezer
