  1. Despite having started caching in 2003 and being a premium member, I still consider myself a newbie. We used to do long hikes for a single cache. Now it's all puzzles, park and grab and a race for numbers. I see "lab caches" in my statistics (obviously a 0), but it isn't something you can search for with the filter. What are they and how do I find one?? I'd love to try some of these new new cache types.
  2. I have been guilty of this on urban caches a couple times. Sometimes I am so excited to find an unexpected cache while out to dinner. I take a picture of my hand holding the log with something noticeable in the background so the CO knows it is really from their cache. Never been deleted yet. I also never logged a fake find and have always logged all my dnf's.
  3. On a related topic, I have a question about what to do if you are the owner of a cache where a TB was logged in, but not out? Some one took a jeep TB out of the cache without logging it. I don't need to worry about contacting the owner about its theft since it is JEEP. But i would like to get it out of the TB contents for my cache page. People come in hopes of grabbing it and it isn't there. (it was placed in the fall and still not logged, so I doubt the cacher is just behind in his paper work...) thanks for the help!
  4. thanks D@nim@l. I tried it and they had the coin. I am waiting for them to email the activation #.
  5. the coin is California Poppy.. It is a California Micro 2006. yellow flower shaped coin
  6. I found a brand new geocoin in a cache on the Cape. When I went to log the cache, I noticed the coin was not listed in the inventory. So I tried to search for it under the"track a TB" section. It said the coin was not yet activated. I tried to activate it, but I only have the 6 letters written on the coin. I don't have the original packaging with an activation code. Is the coin useless now as a trackable item, or is there a way to activate it without he activation code?
