About a year ago, Groundspeak brought Challenges caches back with a few clarification of the rules. This was necessary because Challenges had become a bit of a mess since everybody tried to be original in their own way. But at least one problem still exist with Challenge Caches: some of them require finding one or more caches on a specific date or a series of dates. Owners of date-specific Challenge caches would expect geocachers to actually get out and find a cache on the day they would claim a find for that cache. But a recurrent problem with caches that allow multiple founds is that most do not require additional visits for the additional Found logs. The result is that some geocachers use those caches to fill a few boxes in their caching calendar.
I'm surprised no-one brought this up yet but, when I saw the announcement, my first thought was that it would fix a loophole in the Challenge rules once and for all!

GC43F3-Brass Cap Cache was created March 21 2002 at present has 20,202 finds
GC45CC-Ye Ole Survey Monuments was created March 25 2002 at present has 22,630 finds
GCA0D6-Stash n' Dash was created November 15 2002 at present has 1558 finds
GC4411 -LEAP FROG was created March 2 2002 at present has 384 finds
2,000,000+ active caches in the world. Why should Groundspeak make an exception for a handful that don't respect the guidelines ? These are virtuals or locationless caches in disguise. Of course, they are interesting because they are rare. But logging them once should be enough.
Personally, if I had climbed hundreds of hills to find a brass cap monument, I'd like to see an equivalent amount of Found logs in my profile. If those locations are so meaningful, why not get them their own cache ?

The Avalanche 2017 12th edition event GC6Z813 will take place on Saturday March 4th, 2017 from 10 AM to 3 PM at Parc Régional Éducatif du Bois de Belle-Rivière in Mirabel, 45 minutes north of downtown Montreal.
The Parc Régional Éducatif du Bois de Belle-Rivière is a partner of the QGA since the beginning of the partnership program. This park offers many activities to its visitors and geocachers will enjoy them during the 12th edition of the 2017 Avalanche event.

L’évènement Avalanche 2017 12e édition GC6Z813 aura lieu le Samedi le 4 mars 2017 de 10h à 15h au Parc Régional Éducatif du Bois de Belle-Rivière de Mirabel, situé à 45 minutes au nord du centre-ville de Montréal.
Le Parc Régional Éducatif du Bois de Belle-Rivière est un partenaire de l’AGQ depuis les débuts du programme de partenariat. Ce parc offre de nombreuses activités à ses visiteurs et les géocacheurs pourront en profiter lors de l’évènement Avalanche 2017 12e édition.
Voici quelques activités qu’il sera possible d’y faire :
