I'm wanting to load caches on I-79 which goes from Erie, Pa to Charleston, WV. I want to load them on my Drive 50 gps. The best way to load them is with Garmin Express but I need to have them in a list to do this.
just got delivery of the new oregon 650
ordered it months ago for our trip to Ireland
but it didn't arrive til we got home - OK no problem
we took our oregon 300 and ipad and they worked just fine.
I'm having a problem with the new 650.
In order to change the battery you need to take off the carabinier turn the D lock and open the back.
In order to download or upload you need to take off the carabinier.
The carabinier is really difficult to put on and take off.
I much preferred the 300 setup where you didn't need to change the carabinier once it was installed on the unit.
It was much easier to plug in to the computer.
Why do companies change things that are working perfectly well . I'm disappointed.

Is there a souvenir for this series? Would love to add it to my profile page - it was quite an accomplishment. We planned a holiday specifically to do this and the SSB trail. Spent all of September and also did the Great Lakes Seaway Trail - all were fantastic series. And what a great
way to bring tourists into the area - we toured for one month ate out all our meals and stayed in hotels for 30 nights (plus a few casino visits .
Looking for more like this.
I was wondering if any knows a quick way to download caches on the rail trails in Ontario. I've been downloading them one at a time into GSAK and there's got to be a better way. I also did a search on GBPT (for example) and came up with 37 caches. I selected all of them and then clicked download. They came as a LOC file with only the waypoint. I want all the information. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any way to do a pocket query of the results of my search?
Thanks

I just picked up my damp log book today doing maintenance on my cache. For fun I checked the log book to the logs online. I was very surprised to find 2 people did not sign the log book but logged a find on line. Not sure what to do.
I bought an Oregon in Feb. and I'm still trying to figure out all it's secrets.
I downloaded a file and it went to Extras which is under the WhereTo? section.
Now that I no longer need the file I can't figure out how to delete it.
It doesn't appear on the computer when I plug it in - at least I can't find it.
And there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it on the unit.
I've tried to find out online but I'm drawing a blank.
I'd love to do a tutorial if anyone knows of any being offered in York Region
on either the Oregon or GSAK.
Thanks

I am fairly new to geocaching and was wondering if someone could help me out with a question. We will be going to Jamaica in March and I've checked out a few of the caches there. Some of them have a number of coins and bugs in them. I'm sure they don't get visited very often and the owners would probably like them to be on the move. Is is acceptable to take more than one when I'm there?
