  1. Thanks. I was starting to think it was something I was doing. I have emailed the owner and will update the TB too (had already done the cache). The owner is still actively caching by looking at their profile so hopefully they get my message over the next few days and will be able to set everything right. Will start noting down any TB I get too for future Thanks again.
  2. I don't know if I am doing something stupid or if I done something wrong but a few weeks ago I picked up a TB and then the other day I dropped it off in another cache. However when to drop it into the new place I can't seem to find how to do this? I have also checked my profile and can't see anywhere that it says the TB is with me (may be looking wrong). When I check where I got it from it says its in the inventory for there but when I go to the TB page it says I retrieved it. The biggest problem is I can't get the tracking number to try and retrieve it again as the cache I put it into is over 2 hours away. Can anyone help me please? This is my second TB I have had and I can't remember the first time being this hard, in fact I'm sure it was straight forward lol. I took it from: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...6e-feb1b0ed51ec And the page for the TB is: http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...13-d16d88f3bde9
  3. Just to confirm, yes it does work. But I have one of the first Tom Tom units to come out so I dont know how they have changed since then. What I do know though is that new ones stop searching once you get to a certain speed (like walking) but the origional firmware ones keep a constant signal back and forth. Supposed to save battery (which it does). But yes Tom Tom will work, the 5 I have I have got with mine and each time it took me to the exact spot (or close enough to know where it is ). It does take the coo-ords too. Not sure how to set it up cause I had to change mine from a different setting but if you click (touch) Navigate to then click GPS location (you may have to click the arrow to move to the next screen) and then you can enter it there. make use of the N,S,W,E buttons to and the little O.
  4. Check security settings. Tools - Internet options - Security. Turn it down low and see if they work. If not do the same in the privacy tab. If not have a look through the advance tab for anything that may sound like it has anything to do with the engine google maps runs (active x, java? not to sure what it uses). If it still doesn't work try start - programs - accessories - system tools - internet explorer (no add ons). If it works now then it is an addon. If not then its not IE that's causing it All though seeing as you said Safari does the same then it could be your firewall. Turn off Windows Firewall or any other you may have installed and make sure if you are using a router you have all ports open. OK not the safest thing to do but as long as your AV is up to date then there is no need to worry. Once you get it working you can start putting things back on 1 by 1 until you find out what's causing it. And get firefox, chrome will take over from it when it comes out of beta but for now get firefox. Fastest/safest/best full browser on the market (Safari is a joke, IE is better ).

Hi, I tried a search but it doesn't seem to be working, or slow, waiting 10 minutes and still didn't load. Was just wondering if there is somewhere you can view all events or search for them? I'm sure I seen this before but I'm to new and you know what its like when something is new, forget alot Thanks.
  7. Never tried the G1 but would recommend you stay as far away from the iphone as possible. Unless you don't like sending MMS messages and enjoy having to manualy send a gps signal to see where you are (no roaming). I could go on but thats enough I'm sure the G1 will be miles better than the iphone. Never used the N96 though but thats my next phone.
  8. You can still get them (not Wrigles though) from Woolworths, that's if they have any left, doubt they will be re stocking them if they don't Seen them last week when I was considering getting them or a packet of chewingum, gum was cheaper so it won. Cant remember what kind though but def weren't Wrigles.
  9. Best bet would be to come during the summer months. If our weather is to get worse due to global warming then by the time 2010 comes around we wont be able to leave our houses in the winter due to the cold. I'm getting that way just now I'm just 20 minutes outside Glasgow (40 from Edinburgh). If you like hiking then somewhere up north would be best, Aviemore, somewhere like that. Personally I wouldn't go to Edinburgh, may just be a East V West thing but I prefer Glasgow much more. Can't say where would be best for geocache though as I am just new to it myself but when you do come over then I would be more than happy to log some finds with you. I know, not much help but if there is an event then you would probably be best planning around that. Just make sure its the summer though, you will thank me for it when you find out our summers are cold as well. And the rain is the best part about Scotland, but even that is getting hit by the global warming and is not happening as much now.
  10. Just want to say thanks for this Noticed this a few days ago, going to Aberdeen tomorrow for the footie and an overnight so finally got round to buying the program and getting it set up. If anyone is stuck for help let me know. Especially with the Mac side of things, looks as thought everyone is windows. I have windows myself but worked repairing macs for a few years up untill a few months ago (when I switched to Microsoft, best move ever ). Still know alot about Macs and how there repair centres work, especially in Scotland seeing as there is only the one now in Clydebank.
  11. Lol, its amazing how you either love Macs and hate PC's or like PCs and don't really mind about Macs. I used to work in an apple repair center and still have my apple certificate until next year. Before I started the only Mac I ever used was an ipod which yes it is good. Almost 2 years repairing them though and mainly working with them at work and I would have to say yes they are good but Microsoft is still the way to go. And I know its opinion and all that but there is no need to put Microsoft down like that (or any other OS you may have been refering to. All have there advantages and disadvantages and none is more superior than the other). As for the question. There is an ipod touch/phone app thats advertised on the main page. Only thing the touch cant use is the GPS and 3G. Allthough the 3g can be replaced by wifi but you need a connection. For any other ipod try http://www.bigwolf.co.uk/ haven't used it so not sure how it works but I noticed it earlier on today when looking through for future caches. Let me know how you get on as I may end up using the software on my old ipod if it is any good.
