  1. I can’t understand why I can’t add caches to a list from this page: Instead, I have to click on each one individually and add them one at a time. Extremely time consuming. Unfortunately, this is one feature that project-GC does not have a workaround for.
  2. This is in a far second behind my rant about throw downs, but the phrase “all is well” in cache logs, especially from a CO irk me. If I have DNFed a cache and the CO checks on it and simply writes “all is well” that doesn’t tell me if it was, in fact, missing and they’ve replaced it and now all is well or that it was there in the first place and all had always been well. There is one CO in particular in my area who writes this on every log and it really does not give an accurate portrayal of the situation.
  3. I’m not saying you CAN’T call it a DNF, just that I wouldn’t personally. Play your game the way you want. In your situation, I would have written a NM but skipped the DNF, but it’s not wrong if you do it your way. That being said, I am also not one of these people who is ashamed of a DNF. I log my DNFs with pride.
  4. Always and forever throwdowns are the bane of geocaching. I hate them. How can anyone be so arrogant that just because they can’t find it, then it can’t possibly be there?! I have found multiple containers at one GZ on several occasions. It’s even worse when the cache is supposed to be something really cool and someone throws down a film canister, ruining the experience for everyone else. The only time I ever replace a container is when I find the damaged original container and have a similar container with which to replace it. I would then always contact the CO and tell them exactly what I did.
  5. I could not possibly agree more. This is exactly how I categorize DNF vs Write Note.
  6. And this is my usual MO, but I do occasionally forget in the excitement of a find to add a draft.
  7. Wow that’s pretty presumptuous of you. I can safely say I have NEVER written a single word log and do 99% of my logging from an iPhone. Here’s proof from my profile page.
  8. I would also very much like to add to both the ignore and watch lists from the app instead of having to open the page in the browser. It’s just a bunch of unnecessary steps.
  9. I have always liked the idea of a crowd sourced D/T alongside the CO’s official D/T and suggested this at a User Insight Forum at Going Caching years ago. However, I would not encourage COs to constantly change their official D/T based on the crowd sourced rating as this will affect the stats of previous finders. A one-time change, maybe, but mostly it should be a way for the CO to learn form their misjudgment and for the general caching population to be aware of the possibility of a discrepancy. I cache with my kids and I especially dislike when COs call everything a 1.5/1.5, as this is a potential safety issue for my kids.
  10. This thread is for the App, not what you can do on the website. At present, I don’t believe there is a way to change the log date on the app, which I also find most frustrating. My workaround is to make sure I save a draft (even if it’s blank) at the moment of find to mark the correct time and date. The drafts feature will also save your logs in order of find even if you write your final logs out of order. While I would also like the app to feature an option to change the date on both cache finds and trackable finds, this workaround is usually fine and, yes, there is also the option of changing the date on the website.
  11. So sorry that I simply offered you an immediate solution to your problem...... You can choose to do it or not, I was merely letting you know it exists. Personally, I feel like the extra money is totally worth it, especially since project-gc actually listens to its users regarding updates and new features, unlike geocaching.com which unlikely to ever listen to what you want.
  12. This can presently be done at project-gc.com which is really the better site for trip planning. You can also easily import/export to and from geocaching.com
  13. This is still an issue. I guess no one else cares?
  14. Suddenly the Event date listed on the iPhone mobile app (just under the CO’s name) are showing as one date late compared to the date listed in the description. What’s going on here?!
  15. I am having an issue where I cannot scroll in the drafts text box on the iPhone app. If I started writing a longer log and saved it, when I try to go back to edit it, if it is longer than the size of the text box, I cannot scroll down to the bottom of the log.
  16. What has happened to the "Refresh Cache Data" option on the app? This would especially useful when solving coords for a large batch of mystery caches instead of having to hard close the app each time to see the new placement on the map?
  17. Three things regarding the new "Report a Problem" 1. Will this feature be available in the mobile app? At this time, I cannot figure out how to report a problem via the app. 2. Could the option for "Logbook is full" be broadened? I live in Florida where not only can logbooks be full, but they are often waterlogged and unsignable. This is a very common problem and needs to be an option for us. 3. I know the timestamp of logs was a major thing that was fixed in this update. However, the Report a Problem logs are all being timestamped from the time I finish a found log, not the time I started it from a draft. Thus, they are not paired up with their corresponding found log on my personal page listing. This is confusing and cluttered.
  18. Project-gc.com allows the user to toggle back and forth between solved and posted coords. Perhaps that is an option? I can see how both would be useful to different people.
  19. This was a useful feature in the old app that seems to be missing from the new one. Any plans to add it back in?

  21. I know there is a big push to streamline the use of Lists. I would like to easily add a cache to either a Watch List or Ignore List from the App without having to open the website.
  22. I'm trying to find a convenient way to sort and/or filter my finds by cache name. This seems to be such a basic thing and I can't understand why it doesn't seem possible! When you have 100s or even 1000s of finds, cut and pasting from the website into an excel spreadsheet is just a waste of time. Please make this an option on the website. It is essential to be able to sort and filter by cache name when attempting to complete many challenges. Thank you, tumbleweed42
