  1. We're having a CITO event on May 7th and I have sent in a request but did not hear any confirmation or acknowledgement. Can you clarify this? Thank you very much,
  2. Treknschmidt is not the only cacher in Ontario, Canada to put out a Tree Planting event. I asked Groundspeak directly and recieved a positive feedback as well as direction to guide my event. ( http://coord.info/GC26X47 ) It works and it is awesome for an event. Trash is one way of helping the environment, but so it planting a tree. Sad that your event got the can, but don't give up. Try again - cite GS and they'll never bug you. Cheers and good luck!
  3. Let me goto the corner store, buy a long distance international card and get back to you if you're still interested. Does that work?
  4. It's a fair and reasonable price. Any higher an no one would consider. Thanks
  5. Have a used but not abused Triton 2000. Comes with additional storage card. Works good. The unit is a well rounded paperless caching toy with digital camera, LED flashlight, voice recorder and mp3 player. Selling for 150$ Buyer covers shipping and/or insurance. Thanks.
  6. Verify your email preferences beyond the junkmail options. i.e. add/remove safe senders list. Look for noreply@geocaching.com and "remove" from the Blocked sending list. Hope that helps.
  7. Found out from a hotmail email request to verify the block sender list. Sometimes when excess emails are sent - they'll add a domain or user to the blocked list as precaution. So, noreply@geocaching.com was automatically added to the block sender list of hotmail settings. Grumble. i do not understand how/why that occured. sigh but my comments earlier were out of frustration. think this may have settled things. to all others using hotmail - verify your blocked email settings... Not just the junkmail area, but the actual user/domain preferences that may have the ADD/Remove options to filter email settings.
  8. I've been having the same thing over the last couple weeks. This is bloody ridiculous. I've noticed this "glitch" since GC.com was down for maintenance a week or two ago. Things just haven't been the same over here. Nothing is coming to my inbox anymore. If it was a hotmail or gmail issue, wouldn't it be filtered to the junkmail folder?
  9. I'm having issues as well lately. The last two weeks or so my communication with geocaching has simply dropped off the face of the earth. I've adopted 17 caches and even published a few as well. All the information regarding the new caches never arrived. I've been forced to check the cache details to see updates and if people have found. What's happended to me? Did GC.com blacklist me? I'm going to click "Enable email notification of replies" but I fear I won't get anything. looking forward to some insight and troubleshooting.
  10. If you're willing to go above $250, I'll listen to your post. Replied to all private messages, thanks for the inquiries. $251 USD? It should be more in Canadian PM Sent.
  11. for those who wanted a picture - i've got the images scanned and can send to email. thanks again
  12. If you're willing to go above $250, I'll listen to your post. Replied to all private messages, thanks for the inquiries.
  13. For any other users having difficulties with WinRAR, try extracting with another similar program. I too was having issues with the Extract Here function by WinRar so I just tried extracting with 7-Zip and it worked through okay. No need to re download a 3gb file, just try a different tool.
  14. This event has sparked my interest.. It's been a couple years since I've been upto Akimiski Island. We flew from the Island to Timmins and didn't have to ride the train. This would be a neat opportunity to ride the train.
  15. I'm selling my 2nd GPS, no need for two of these. It's brand new, not taken out of the house. $325, price is OBO. I'll also add an extra 2gb SD storage card for the built in camera & mp3 player/recorder & touch-screen. Thank you
  16. Anyone aware of any possible updates for these units? If there are any possible updates pending, is anyone aware of any software issues regarding the potential for paperless caching?
  17. I picked up a Triton 2000... It doesn't have auto-routing, but that's where my Cx comes in... Between the Cx and it's capabilities and the Triton's ability to go paperless two people can make it work quite effectively out in the field!
  18. Not sure if this is specific to one store or not, but the Gander Mountain in Watertown, NY. has 50cal ammo boxes in a bin for sale at 5.99/each.
  19. I got the Cx as my main unit a year ago. It's loaded and rather than purchase a vehicle road gps, I choose to go with the routing features the Cx/CSx provide with the City Navigator NA roadmap set. I've been looking at upgrading to the CSx, but why bother? I just picked up a Triton that will permit me to go paperless (now, i don't have to get an expensive upgrade or even a PDA or iPhone) and also give me to the features the CSx upgrade would give me. So far I've read too many people bashing the Triton, but this unit does what I need it to and it hasn't given me an issue.
  20. 2gb should suffice for one state with CN 2009. I have a 2gb micro sd with Ontario, Quebec, NY, Michigan, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland... and i think that's in the 130mb range... I have the Topo Canada installed aswell and I only put Ontario and Quebec and it's still got tones of free space. It's really not all that big of a dataset for roadmaps.
  21. Hi there, how much for shipping to canada? thanks
  22. I'm with you Rockin Roddy, I hope it comes out soon too! http://forum.delorme.com/viewtopic.php?t=1...c&start=126 Chip Noble Team DeLorme If only DeLorme had mainstream software developed for Canadian GPS users
