    Hello all: Just a post to ask if there is a cacher in central Greenwich who would like to share mainance on the GATES OF GREENWICH series around the outside of the park. I've looked after this series for over five years now. Some of the caches have nearly 2000 finds against them which is pretty amazing. It's the first port of call in London and in the UK for many international visitors as well. I have two young kids and a busy job and these days I can't always get there as quickly as I'd like. I can do the logging stuff. And I have a supply of geocaches to place, but boy oh boy the series does go through a lot of caches and logs. If there is a geocacher in central Greenwich who fancies helping out for nothing more than faint praise and occassional glory then please post here or email me direct on awdonkin@aol.com Many thanks.     If you're in London then GATES OF GREENWICH 5 is exactly in the PM, and as close to the Greenwich observatory as we're allowed to place a cache. It's had 1000 finds in the last three years.

    I put out the GATES OF GREENWICH series in London and I had a guy from Germany get really upset with me because he found the right ground zero, but the cache wasn't there.(It hadn't been muggled, but was most likely in the hands of other cachers when he looked.) I deleted his FOUND log because he simply hadn't found the cache. Doh. He emailed me and was quite upset. After an exchange of emails, his tone became more friendly and I allowed him to log his non-find. He was from Germany and did not expect to have another chance any time soon. I too find it odd that anyone would think they should be able to log a cache that they haven't found - I never would - but there you go.

    Hello Simple question: One of my caches - GATES OF GREENWICH 5 has accumulated around a dozen travel bugs and other trackables over the years and around a thousand finds. The only trouble is that nearly all the trackables are not there. Is there any way I can remove them as the cache owner? It is disappointing for finders to not get the travel bugs they are expecting.
