Anyone know the appropriate link for:
The World Release Register is found here. Some people will start your Trackable overseas for you. You can also join the register to start them for other geocachers. The Trackable is mailed to the other geocacher, to place in a local cache in their country/state/province, etc...
I found in this post:

All I think of whenever someone talks about fire ants is MacGyver. That episode gave me nightmares as a child. I still shiver at the thought. Maybe a flamethrower should be another useful TOTT?
OMG that is me only the ants are really really tiny. hahaha

I am not from Florida but guessing that could happen from time to time but shouldn't happen often?
Fire ants mounds appear like a little sand pile. They are everywhere.

Hi my name is Jes. Unfortunately, I'm not a TB Owner, let alone a cache owner. There so many MIA TB's and who's at the bottom of the list? Jeep 4x4 TB's. I haven't even had the opportunity to enhale the paint on one of these and they're droppen' like ants.
I see so many Caches that say they have TB's in them and there are none

What I meant was do you use a GPSr or phone app, download a PQ and/or use GSAK, etc.? In short, if you didn't have access to use Corrected Coordinates on your own caches, would it only require a minor change to your workflow? Personally, it seems like the benefits from removing this source of confusion would far outweigh the downsides.
What?

Curious, now that you're wearing shoes, could it be you're just not paying as much attention as when you had bare feet?
- The reason I ask is simply wearing shoes shouldn't have created a problem.
My experience with fire ants is much further North (NC), and even though DEET may repel 'em some, there's not much that'll stop them when they've been disturbed.
Well the ants crawled up to the top of my shoes and bite me. That was the problem! dam ants!

In Florida I never wear "shoes" only flip-flops. After getting cut up from thorns I decided to purchase some lightweight walking shoes. similar to "tennis shoes". I then got attacked by ants. they clung on to my shoes and went searching for blood. So my question is without wearing boots has anyone found any tricks to keep ants away?

Hi everyone! I am from Florida and hope to meet other fellow Geocachers in my area. I am somewhat "obsessed" with hiding caches at the moment and finding the most unusual trackables to place in my caches. I am getting a slight bit better at finding caches that I was when I started but would love a few pointers!

I would just post an announcement once the event is listed stating that anyone could join in caching afterward.
As long as the event isn’t specifically set up for the sole purpose of getting a caching group together, it shouldn’t be an issue. Some reviewers are more strict than others.
Why can't you just get together to meet other Geocachers?

Ok another question on this subject. For FTF coins would you prefer the "FTF" coins or a random trackable that is not activated? I dont really like any of the FTF Trackable coins.

Depends on who is reviewing it.

Your first question leads in to your second. If you are going to hide a cache in your front yard and make it difficult to find, then geocachers are going to be wandering around your yard longer, attracting the suspicion of your neighbors. If your neighbors don't know it's OK for people to be wandering around your front yard, confrontation is inevitable, either with the neighbors themselves, the neighborhood watch, or with the local police.
I for one am not super comfortable searching for geocaches in neighborhoods, so the more open and obvious it is, the more comfortable I am going for it. Often front yard caches have a combination lock to discourage muggles that happen upon them. Besides, if a geocache is affixed on your property, it's less likely that folks would feel the need to remove it.
I echo the Little Free Library or similar concept - something out in the open such that your neighbors will have an expectation of folks coming by to visit it is normal.
Here are some other examples of front yard caches that have clever containers but are out in the open, for your consideration.

You have to crank this one down to log it.

I am trying to find a way to make something in my yard a good hiding place for a large cache in Florida. Any ideas?
