Nice idea Tim, that would look awesome! I agree it looks good, but it does then leave colouring choices to the 50+ event organizers fairly limited, green being the obvious first choice. I do not think that many other of the transparent colour selections would lend themselves to the circuits and still look as good as the greens, a few maybe but not enough to allow a good range of different coloured coins. Shame tho because I do like the look!

Ok Boys and Girls That is the guessing part of the cointest done with Thanks Thanks for all those who guessed. Now lets hope a predicted sunny weekend here in Perth after a couple of stormy weekends gets a few more cachers out for this series, I started counting found logs to see who might be close but after about 15 minutes and only 30 caches counted I got to 345 found logs... I have now decided bed is the better option, as it is 4am Hang in there guessers winner calculated in a few days.

This is indeed sad news, Roger and I exchanged e-mails like so many of us into geocoins, there was even talk of a meet when he visited Australia but due to the east coast west coast distance it never happened, seems more of a shame now. He was a most generous man allowing me to make personal orders of different colours than he was doing in particular mint runs, also due to the volumes and cost he always cut me slack on the shipping, I'm so proud to own works of art from such a talented designer and good bloke. You will be truly missed Roger.

Hi all Yeah I'm still lurking around the forums daily but have not been so active as a new kitchen has halted all but a few purchases of late. Whats this about me having a chance of winning a coin? you say Waaaay back when the circle if four coins (I think that was their name, they seem to have dropped off the radar very quickly) came into being I was lucky to win a special one, well many many months later they arrived and it is about time I returned the favor as I always try and do by running a cointest to give away a coin when I have been lucky enough to receive something from the generosity of others. I have teamed up with 3 other cachers in my area to release a small power trail (compared to some) of 132 caches You just have to guess how many finds all 132 caches will pick up in the first couple of weeks.. closest one to the total Find logs when the time runs out wins. now to stop someone running a pocket query just before the end of the comp and adding it up, there will be a cointest cut off date some time before the 2 weeks and counting. Noice, what about rules? there should be some rules ! 1 guess per 12 hours No edited posts please, if you discover you posted a previous guess, post again. The logs will be added up on Tuesday 2 weeks from now thats my Tuesday the 19th June when I have an hour to kill The cointest deadline will be Friday the 15th when I remember pop in and say/post "that's it" The rules can be altered to suit my oversight of anything that I have oversighted Coolo! but it seems like a lot of work to win a coin, checking out all your caches and working out stuff.... I think you will find that whining is not happening in this forum so much, unless I have missed some new topics on my daily read. We here are all aware of how much coins cost to produce and the regular forum posters and lurkers are in tune with how much work goes into producing coins. After all we are addicted to geocoins I like so many here have paid a premium for many coins due to how much work went into them, but of course we love the magical $10 mark but that is not always possible and I believe it is understood for the most part. sorry I just do not see the whining you speak of here, maybe elsewhere?
