  2. Locking the doors doesn't really stop anybody. Often these guys break the windows without checking the doors. I went to college in Rochester. Its a tough town. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  3. Why can't we all just get along? That's my point. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

I don't hink I've ever seen a cacher say they're better than some with fewer finds.... more experineced maybe but not better. george http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/39570_500.jpg Pedal until your legs cramp up and then pedal some more. Nobody says it. It's implied. "Oh, he only has 10 finds" and things like that. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

The number of logs one has doesn't make you better than those with fewer. The issue is one of right or wrong. If an owner publishes criteria for an acceptable find and a finder meets those criteria, then the find should stand. If an owner deletes such a find, it is wrong. The cache owner is not playing by established rules, some of which he/she established. Resorting to counting finds/hides of those who post here to establish credibility is evading the original issue. There is no need to stoop to this level. So what is the speed of dark? What is with people in this forum? If you had read my earlier posts you would see that what I think of people deleting legitimate logs. And you would also see that there are some who seem to think they are more qualified to post here and pass judgement because they have more finds. What they really have is more free time then the rest of us. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

  7. Brian and sbell are in different states quite a distance apart. So unless Brian travels to TN then I doubt this about sbell. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  8. Sounds cool. How long do they last and do they smell bad? Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  9. quote:Originally posted by BassoonPilot:How are you going to determine that they didn't use a rowboat ... or old inner tube? They could, I guess. But the place I'm thinking lends itself to canoe or kayak. They definitely couldn't use a power boat because they aren't allowed. 10. quote:Originally posted by Renegade Knight:Iv'e had disagreements over deleting logs on my caches with rules. But I've never let it spill over into my other caches. In the end the person who I had the disagreements with has his own cache rules and I complied. We came to an understanding. But that doesn't help you. You are stuck not logging the guys caches. Too bad you can't organize a local boycott of the guys caches. Wherever you go there you are. That doesn't seem right. He's out of luck? Surely, this creates a problem for other caches if this guy is unstable enough to delete logs. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  11. Dang, that needs to stop. Especially, in NJ!! Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  12. quote:Originally posted by GPS Jeff and Fastball:I was able to view it from the original link. http://www.thepinebarrens.com/video/what_is_geocaching.wmv I got it there too. I can see where Jeremy might be upset (if he is) about this. Alot of the wording was word for word from various places on this site. And of course it used his site in the video. 13. If I were to do a cache that was only reachable by canoe or kayak, would that be acceptable? In the colder months here in NJ the cache would probably be unreachable. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

One would think that the parking lot may not be hidden under a tree or a pile of rocks but rather visible to the naked eye. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

  16. You think my avatar is bad, you should get a look at the real me! That's something you don't want to come across in the woods. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

  18. I'll camp out in the woods. I'll call someone and they post the coords. Then you come and find me and we exchange goods? But I bet that's been done before too!! Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  19. I've done parts in NJ & NY, back in the day. Also, hike a couple of the High Peaks in the Adirondacks, Marcy, Alqonguin. Miss the mountians. Not much to see here in NJ. Also, try here: http://www.appalachiantrail.org/ Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  20. If someone does do a coffe mug cache and they see a Survivor Outback Mug let me know! I collect them. I had the Outback one but someone stoled it off my desk at work. I can't seem to find any even on Ebay!! Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.

  22. This makes my wonder if there is any new idea for a cache!! It seems everytime someone suggests one somebody's already done it or its not allowed! Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  23. If you become a Charter member you can download cache pages to your PDA. I just joined and got my first set. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  24. quote:Originally posted by georgeandmary: quote:Originally posted by Rygel:Of the 2 caches I've done I had to park illegally because I couldn't find a spot to park nearby. And because it was crappy out I didn't want to spend 30 minutes looking for one. . I don't know if you meant it that way but it sounds like you were to lazy to put in the effort. I'm just not into catering to people who don't want to put in the effort. george http://img.Groundspeak.com/user/39570_500.jpg Pedal until your legs cramp up and then pedal some more. The particular cache that gave me trouble was at the interesection of three roads one of which was a bridge. There's alot of traffic coming around blind corners. I drove by a couple of times but didn't see a legal spot to park. You can't slow down in NJ to try and get a better look or else you get horns and yells. I ended up parking in a lot thats was for residents only. Luckily I got to the cache and back before I got a ticket. Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
  25. I wish I could get a NJ group together but the Big guys around here don't like the idea!! Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine.
