  1. I've tried twice to submit my 1st cache. I do it under forty minutes and hit the send report button and get taken back to the same page!!

Am I supposed to get some sort of confirmation page?

  2. You guys have me nervous now. I wouldn't have teh slightest idea what/how to look. Plus once I come in the door at my studio apartment they probably jump into the carpet!!

  3. I've never once seen a tick on myself. I figure they must be there.

Of course I don't go through some elaborate procedure to find them either.

  4. If this thing takes off we could get a group together to design a site. There are a lot of state groups that have very nice pages.

I know basic stuff and have Frontpage as well as Dreamweaver, but I'm not too familiar with them.

  5. Yep, I was a Conservation & Ecology majpr in college and took a class just on mushrooms. Very interesting. Had a recipe for making Chicke Paprikash wihtout the chicken just use the chicken of the woods mushroom!

There's mushroom festival in NJ where professional and amatuer mycologists get together. I went a couple years back. I can't remember the name of it.

  6. Guys and Gals,

I'd be willing to host a NJGS (or whatever we end up calling it) site. I have a site that I don't use at all. 100MB of storage and 4GB a month bandwith.

We need just need to decide on a domain name.

  7. I got pretty cut up by picker bushes yesterday, does that count? icon_wink.gif

I started marking the car as a waypoint yesterday. I'm trying to get into the habit before I get into the harder to find caches.

The calling someone before and after is a good idea, I think I'll do that.

  8. I've marked them all!! Right now I'm focusing on caches in a 10 mile radius of home. Then I'll expand outward. But some of these may warrant a special trip!

  9. I seem to remember seeing a beautiful cache that involved a waterfall in NJ.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't find it again.

  10. I see the unfinished ones are $30. What is the most expensive part on the process?

I'm thinking the painting/carving has to be it.

How about a intermedidate model that maybe has the Geocaching logo/website and is stained/sealed w/strap and rubber boot. You could leave off the compass, the persons name, etc. Maybe in the $40-$50 range?

    Just an idea.
