There's a macro for GSAK that does this. I'm on my phone so it's too hard too paste a link here. But search pn40 gsak macro.

Are any of the Titanic coins still available?
-
Ok, I've got the initial OK from Special Olympics New York's main office. Looks like I will be doing a trackable coin.
If any vendors on here would be willing to cut a non-profit a break on the cost please send me a PM.
I'm hoping to get an artist friend to do the design but if he is not able then I could use an artists help too!
Thanks!

Grr! Double post.

Check in "Favorites" It might be there. Did you download from the "Send to GPS" button?
Thanks!
I get them from a emailed Pocket Query and then use Pilot's macro. Looks like a bunch of stuff ended up in Favorites!
I didn't put them there intentionally. I wonder how that is happening.

Good idea for a coin. Obviously you'd need the authorization of Special Olympics if you are going to use their logo on the coin. I don't think there would be any problem with it from geocaching.com's standpoint but all designs (if trackable) are approved for various reasons - family friendliness being a big one.
Personally, I prefer trackable coins and in your situation I think there is the added benefit of that making it possible and likely that the coins would be sent out to travel and bring further awareness to your cause.
As for specific vendors, I think your best bet would be to approach as many as you can and see who can work out the best deal for you.
Good luck and I can't wait to see the finished coins!
Thanks, I kind of hope the idea would spread to the other regions in the State. We have 9 regions in the State. All the Regions only get together a few times a year which be a great way to exchange coins!

Hi all,
I'd like to create a Geocoin as a fundraiser for our local Special Olympics group. Is there anything in the GC guidelines that would prevent this or any steps I need to be sure I go through?
Does it make a difference if the coin is trackable vs non-trackable?
From a collector standpoint, do you prefer trackable over non-trackable?
Does anyone know of a coin maker who would give a non-profit a break on the price of coin pricing?
Thanks,

I just noticed that on my Nuvi 265WT that found cache icons are staying on the map even though I've updated from a PQ of "Caches Not Found By Me".
The cache icon is there along with its GC number but if I search for the GC# no cache info page is found on the Nuvi.
Its very likely this is something I'm doing wrong with the macro or GSAK, just not sure what it is.
I apologize if this had been asked before. I'll confess I didn't read all 18 pages of this thread.
Thanks.

If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweety and wipe the seaty.

I think I'd be interested. I've never seen a coin in real life and am new to the whole coin part of geocaching.
-
I'm a new diver but I'd be willing to join up with folks attempting the caches near Kingston. Ontario.

And post #16 makes me glad that I ordered a PN-40 to replace my dying eTrex.
Just have to wait until Tuesday when UPS comes.

While very cool. I think stating that they will be priced well below $6.00, when they are priced at $5.49 is a little misleading.
-
Releasing anymore in NY, preferably Northern NY? The Adirondacks are screaming for some Earthas!
-
Great! My PN-40 is on its way!
Nice work!

Great thread! It has given ideas for stuff to add to my bag.
Funny to see everything from a minimalist kit to all out everything but the kitchen sink!
I'll try to post a pick soon.

On the PQ page, you can also specify the country. I live 15 minutes from washington state, and I dont get a single cache listed from WA in my 500 closest PQ. Specifying country works well for my region.
I don't see the US in the country list.
-
If you run a Pocket Query you can specify the State(s).
Is the State option read before the "From Origin" option?
Because I did in NY and then 100 miles from my Home Coords.
I think that may be throwing the Canadian ones back in.
-
I live just south of the Canadian Border. When I search for caches near my home coords I get alot of Canadian caches. I'd like to filter them out for 2 reasons:
1) Crossing the border is a hassle
2) Alot of them are in French which I don't read or write!
Is it possible to filter them out?
Thanks.

I'd probably do this. I'd need to bum a ride in someone's watercraft.

Thanks, guys thats it!. I have issue 14 so I'll find it and look in there.
That website is informastive.
Too bad the ship is off limits.

I was driving home from the Bronx yesterday on the Turnpike. As I was approaching New Brunswick I saw what looked like an abandoned ship. It was quite large. I could only see the top. Looks like it has been there for many years.
Anyone know what I'm talking about? I did a quick glance at WeirdNJ.com but didn't see it.

It seems that when I convert my maps over to Pocket S&T all the pushins are shifted to the right by a large amount.
Any ideas?

Actually, it was called TAG: The Assassination game.
There was a movie: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0084756
