    Blackout?

Congratulations upon getting so close to your goal. I know there are some insane caches in Bellevue, like some that need to get out on water? Onkle Ole would be proud of you. There are some really nice ones and some with containers that got me smiling to myself. I'm aware that clearing out an area, like a city, or all within a certain distance from your home, or Tiger Mountain has a charm that many folk go after. I know of a couple folk who's goal is to keep Seattle all cleared out (500+ caches). How to celebrate the achievement of that goal? Cache? Event? Other? I don't know how to advise you other than to share with others what is important to you. I look forward to the crossing of trails sometime in the future. ~K
  5. Thanks Travis, for picking such a great day to do this. It was fun!
  6. Thankyou PNWAdmin for all you've done to reveiw caches for me and best wishes on a well deserved rest!
  7. It's always fun to go a little beyond to get a view back. Enjoyed the logs and glad you found that other cache I missed. ~K
  8. The local Bellevue Reporter had an article in todays issue: "Teens create travel bugs that roam city"
  9. Or if in French, "Wine, Wine, Wine"
  10. Hope you all have fun. I did the hike Saturday and it was quite nice. We only ran into a small patch of snow on the eastern end of the ridge. And just be aware there is only one stream crossing along the route so bring plenty of water.
  11. So sad that vigilantism is still around....
  12. One of the reasons I don't like putting nano's out is the maintanence issue of having to replace logs all the time. If you see a "." on a nano log, that may just be me trying to save space for the next finder.
  13. When I was up there last summer, I did run across that old goat on another trail. It walked right up to us, within 5-8 feet, while nonchelantly acting like it was grazing. We would slowly back up the trail and it kept coming. I sure felt like it was having fun at our expense. It was an unerving experience even though it did not charge. But it also resulted in some good photos. Just stay calm and let it pass.
  14. The Icycle Creek Road out of Levenworth will be closed this year. The Queets road is open Story: by WTA
  15. Crikey! Look'n forward to it!
  16. I noticed that the timing of the route did not include any time to stop and find the cache. One thing you might do is figure seven minutes for each stop.
  17. After you do the hike then you should be able to spell it any way you like!
  18. Well Done! My next challenge to you Kachees Ridge Loop: Domerie Divide Kachees Ridge Loop: Mt. Thomas Kachees Ridge Loop: Midpoint
  19. Hi all, I'm looking forward to reading your logs of a succesful journey. I wish I could have joined you all but I will be stuck indoors this weekend. When I hiked the trail last year, it was one of those typical rainy day that likes to disrupt satelite signals and block out views. As a result, it appears that the coordinates for Midpoint are off. However, the hint seems to provide enough information to find the cache. If someone could take good coordinates and email them to me, then I can update the coordinates in the begining's book. Also, we did not find one of the mile markers and I couldn't get good coordinates for a couple others. Please be on the lookout for them and email me better coordinates too please. Go out and have some fun for me and be sure to bring enough water! Cheers, Kiersolvd.
  20. Sounds fun, I will do it sometime this year. Just be aware that when I was up there this weekend with lakaco, we encountered snow on the ground above 2000'. We turned around at 2500' at the Owen Creek cache where there was well over a foot or two of snow on the ground. Folks who went beyond had reported that only a foot or so of a gate was showing above the snow, so snow shoes may very well still be required on the day you want to go.
  21. Remember, this isn't the first cache like this: Walking Tour of the Solar System (GCKDD0) Solar Sailing (GC908D) It also doesn't have to be the last...
  22. That would be an ambitious goal. Not including the bonus cache, an optimized route from my house is 333 miles.
  23. Rats, this will be the 3rd CM I will miss due to conflicts.
