When you stop downloading the satelite images as back up just in case you need the help when you get there!

Thank you, we will be sure to, and I agree it does sound like a mini event.

There is no way we would be able to canoe that far anyway, my husband and I are lucky if we canoe 20 feet in a straight line, we are used to quiet bodies of water and using them for leisure paddles or a little fishing in the more remote spots. Our boat will hold 4 - 5 max preferred 4 (we have a 9 lb poodle who takes up most of the space). We would love to go out to this spot (providing the boat is suitable), love to take everyone but the boat won't hold us all, the rental thing sounds good to make a group out of it. We should be going to Spring Fling too, we don't know anyone yet, we are newbies but are hooked. We are Mish and Steve I will see if I can load a pic of the boat and maybe you will be able to see if it suitable if you are still interested.

We have a 17 foot Legend and I think that would do the job, it has a 25hp merc big foot motor. We have not had much chance to use it yet. It is a matter of timing. We would love to do it and probably make a weekend camping out of it. If you haven't found anyone yet let us know...hey we have a couple of canoes and could get a good group out for a paddle!

Thanks for the other caching recommendations, nothing is really to far. We try to get as far from Toronto as we can in the summer with lots of camping so these are all good, thank you...tried one near Milton on Friday, great but we did not find cache...will be going back!

Wow, thanks for all of the good recommendations...we will be checking them all out. We are new at geocaching and are addicted already but by far we loved that night one out west so we are really looking forward to trying these...thanks!!!

Does anyone within an hour or two of Toronto know of any good night caches? Our second ever cache was in Kamloops, BC and was a night cache...it was amazing. It was in a forest, moose and bear country and we had the best time with a group of 7 of us (even stumbled across a moose carcass..freaky!!) ...we would like to do some here in Ontario....we travel a lot in the summer so any would be great to know about...thanks
