Hi I am fairly new and was wondering how many people out there DON'T use a G.P.S (?). I didn't even know you were meant to use one till I found this site, being frugal though I'm not interested in a purchasing a 200$ G.P.S unit so instead I read the maps online then re-write them on a piece a paper then bike to the location. I haven't had a problem yet in finding any them. They just take a bit of searching in the general location. Just wondering how many out there are doing something similar

Hey I am a newbie (probably joined just a week ago ) and I was wondering how other people got stared on "Geo caching". Here's my story: I was riding my bike down by the water and decided to stop and just enjoy the nice day... near this particular spot is a fence lined with bird houses I went over and was looking at them when I randomly decided I would like to look inside of it there I found my first cache. I was so excited that I'd found this lucrative container wrapped in black duct tape, so opening it up I found the Geo cache rules sheet (? is that what you'd call it?) anyway I went online and then got hooked on this great pastime. Just thought I'd share and that it be interesting to here other people's stories of how they discovered the national game of caching. PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORIES!!!
