  1. Can there be multiple cache owners?
  2. Sorry…now I see it as charter?
  3. I haven’t cached in a long time. I use to be a Charter member. How do I fix this?
  4. Your Charter Membership has been restored. Thank you for your support. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you, Michael LaPaglia Community Relations Specialist Groundspeak, Inc. Thanks!
  5. I just realized that my membership lapsed. I renewed but now it shows me as a premium member not a charter member any more. Can this be changed?
  6. I think GC has always believe that "it's not about the numbers". Maybe shomeone should make a web site that IS about the numbers! Oh...they have! Maybe this will help.
  7. Hello all, I have a friend that had visited me here in the USA and he had been caching a little bit. I gave him a TB that wanted to visit your wonderful country. He (for various reasons) can't go caching anymore but he still has the TB http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...ed-3d05d7cbb341 I am looking for someone in the area of: Suburbs: Home: Highett Work: Seaford that could meet up with him a rescue this TB. Thanks for the help, Kayakanimal
  8. Just thinkin' out loud: Grind off the threads, then drill out the base and insert/glue another rare earth magnet into the hole. Find one of those big pipes that seem to blossom around strip malls. The 12" pipe that comes out of the ground, goes to a valve, then returns into the ground? Those things typically bristle with odd, dead end fittings that you could slip that gauge into. How about just a piece of PVC U shaped into and out of the ground...looks kind of like a gas pipe...with the guage right at the top in the middle...could place that anywhere!
  9. I already have a PDA that I use GASK to put the waipoints to do door to door routing. I did order a car adapter cable for the power...maybe that will help some. Thanks for the help.
  10. Summit HC has extremely poor battery life of 14hours. If I were you I'd try and afford an extra $50 and get the Vista HCx. I already ordered the HC...but I did order a car adapter cable for it. Thanks for the info.
  11. Well...I ordered one. Should be here next eek...I can't find ANY mention of this GPS in the forums! Anybody here useing one?
  12. I do thank all of the reviewers for their help. If you ever need halp with anything in this area I would be more than happy to help. Yes...my Dad lives in the area and will cehck any cache as needed. Thanks MTN-Man Kayakanimal
  13. I didn't think this would cause as much uproar as it has. I just thought: 1. A cache has MULTIPLE dnf's 2. More than 1 SBA 3. The owner has not logged in in over 1 year 4. Doesn't respond to postings/emails Archive it. If they want to bring it back then the review can still do that. If it were mine, archive it. I would rather have a caching environment with some real caches around than LOTS missing. I also know/agree that the reviewers do a lot of thanks-less work with the caches. I take my hat off to them! Is there a better way to suggest a cache need to be archived? What is a cacher to do?
  14. I have been looking at the eTrex Summit HC. Anybody have on themselves? I just wanted to make sure that say...GSAK works ok with it downloading way points to it. I already have a PDA that I use as a point to point road directions. I sold my old GPA to use this one as my primary. Now I am ready to have a handheld GPS for the field. Thanks, Kayakanimal
  15. Don't get me wrong...I am not upset in the least. I know things happen...there were 2 or 3 of those caches that had a previous (2 week old) log SBA. I just moved here from FL...when I let my caches lapse there someone (reviewer) would let me know that I "should" do something about it. Some of these have had DNF's from January of this year with owners that don't log in any more. I know some cachers around here would like to put new caches in some of these nice spots if others don't/can't maintain their current ones. I just wanted to make sure these didn't "fall thru the cracks" Thanks, Kayakanimal Starting to smell 'ulterior motive' here. Hmm... New to the areas. Found some nice areas, but there are already caches there. So, get them archived so you can put out your own? I'm not impress with "DNF from January with absent owners." That doesn't mean that the caches are in bad condition and need archiving. HEY PEOPLE...you are trying to read WAY too much into this...trying to read stuff between the lines.. Two things them I'm done. 1. Guess I was just a little spoiled about the way caches were maintained where I came from. 2. Guess I will just keep my mouth shut from now on. Try to make tings a little better and see what happens. Have a great day, Kayakanimal

  17. How do we get some of these caches that obviously need archiving in the 70454 zip code area? Thanks, Kayakanimal
  18. I posted here because I thought others might also like this suggestion. I don't mean a traveling map but just a blank map to see breadcrumb trail...caches in area etc. I use PPC. I would like to have everything in 1 program. Kayakanimal
  19. What is the chance of getting a basic map in cachemate?
  20. That may be a good deal for a miniSD card, but the Garmin units use a microSD card (smaller and more expensive). The best prices I've seen on the 2GB microSD card was about $75, and I don't know if that special is still available... Wow...so much memory so little time! Everything changes so fast. Here is a micro at a pretty good price. Kayakanimal
  21. Guess now it's kind of a moot point...found the 32 channel for 10.00 more. http://cgi.ebay.com/SMALLEST-SOLAR-Bluetoo...1QQcmdZViewItem Thanks for all the help, Kayakanimal
  22. I am looking to buy a new GPS...What is the difference in the amount of channels? My old GPS was 12 channel Am looking at an two different ones...20 or 30 channels. What's the diff...please don't tell me 10 channels. Thanks, Kayakanimal
