The MGA ( Maritime Geocaching Association ) http://www.maritimegeocaching.com/index2.html
is the caching association for Eastern Canada ( Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island )
Each year we have a challenge between NS & NB to see who can hide the most winter friendly caches.
The rules are they must be winter friendly ( at least 3 feet off the ground )
No micros ( esp. LPC )
Cachers have between Jan.15 to Jan 31 to hide them.
They are then all posted on Fri Feb 2.
This will be the third year of the challenge.
Year 1 NB won 134 to 38
Year 2 NS won 179 to 107
This year will be the rubber match and I have been told by Cache Agent (Alantic Canada Reviewer ) there are over 800 caches to be posted.
There will be 5 reviewers handling these caches.
This year PEI enters the contest and there's talk of inviting the State of Maine to enter in next years event.
Welcome all to come and visit the MGA's shoutbox Fri night starting at
6 PM EST till all the caches are posted to revel in the fun and teasing.
The real winner in this contest is all cachers as it places a lot of caches that can be found in the winter. ( snowshoeing, skiing and such )
