  1. Have you informed local law enforcement that you'll be in the area? If not, I can. One of the Supervisors at 911 is actually a cacher too.
  2. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...&Submit6=Go We have our appointment Friday
  3. We got ours Saturday. Thanks !!!
  4. How about we remove a couple of their caves until you get the cache back?
  5. We always ask the owner if it's ok with them. 99.999% of the time they are thrilled!
  6. Lock it. It's been a pretty good thread. Remember, it's only a game....unless you have 1000+ finds. Then it's an addiction...
  7. We have a new cache GC1DFP8 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...&Submit6=Go. It clearly states the park closes at 10:00 pm. The listing was published after 10:00 pm. The FTF is at 11:40 pm, when the park is closed. Delete the FTF or not?
  8. Would the new county park at 14400 Meridian work?
  9. Our family's TB http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=130665 is currently in GC13WBK http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...68-9cbd88eabef0 . We've really enjoyed it's travels in New Zealand and would like to go somewhere different. Our daughter's class uses the travels as part of their lessons, and they were hoping it could be moved on. Thanks in advance.
  10. A combination of GSAK and Microsoft Streets and Trips works well
  11. Interesting. I was out there a while ago and got the impression that people were not allowed to walk the mountain from the Courtney Road gate. As a girl that was how we went up the mountain with our horses. Thank you for the update, and please keep them coming. I would love to get this done before August, that month is way too hot for me. Will try to look at my calendar more seriously in the next couple of days to nail down a new date for the hike. We can use the road for work. Not sure about other access. You could try up at the gate near the end of the Kent Kangley. The lower caches like the wart should be ok to look for. We had as much as 5' at the summit today. Might want to hold off a bit.
  12. We started to have the road plowed from the Courtney Road all the way to McDonald today for WORK . They hope to be done by mid afternoon on Friday. Snow was over 3+ feet in places from the 3rd gate up. The next week or so should really help the top.
  13. How big is your backyard Fred? (yes that's a loaded question)
  14. Any TB's wanting to go the San Antonio area could be dropped off at Sping Fling
  15. It was the last puzzle we just submitted......Overloaded the frog.
  16. After reading the definitions, we can go a couple of different ways. Is a night cache a unknown, regular or a multi? We've gotten email saying we've listed ours wrongly. (We don't really care though). There have been several discussion in troll land (aka Geocaching Topics) and everyone has their opinion. Is it Nite, Night or Knight ? GC19AKB Thoughts?
  17. We're trying to provoke the swamp thing. Maybe he's chicken?
  18. We think we know the answer but.. If you change the diff or terr attributes on a cache, will it then change the attributes on the finds PQ for a previous finder? We have a couple of caches we're thinking of adding a better hint, and then lowering the difficulty. The problem is that it will then alter the finds stat for a previous finder. This could skew someone's ability to finish challenges like this Well Rounded Washington Cacher (Fizzy Challenge) Thoughts?
  19. Wow, it's disabled and there are still 72 users watching this cache. What happens next......... GCJ7VH
  20. About the only one worth doing was USA, all the way South GC2C32 and it was a virtual. We'd just like to say way to go to the folks in the Northwest
  21. I just spent a few days in Ft Lauderdale for work. Thought I'd grab a few while down there, and move a couple of bugs. I was suprised at the quality of the caches in the area. I only found a couple down there because some were on private property, one was buried?!?! and others really weren't worth the effort. It took several hours to find a cache that I felt safe leaving a couple of coins in. My eyes have been opened as to the quality of caches in the PNW vs other areas. I'd have to say we've got it pretty good. [/rant off]
