I have had this issue on this model as well. (and even recognizing the Oregon is plugged in) I thought it was just user error. Keep in mind I am not tech savvy - and tend to do things wrong, with sometimes getting lucky and it working......sometimes. Basically, Im not good at this kind of stuff. Here are some things I have done that have worked in a pinch: #1 - Look at the number of caches that you are generating. If you are loading 4 PQ's with 1,000 caches each....it's not going to work. Max on the Oregon 450 is 2,500 caches. (Again on the user error and LoyalDipity not being able to add....) #2 - When you download the zipped file to your PC, there are two files inside. When you are loading the GPSr, try opening the downloaded file and transferring each file individually to the unit. #3 - Do the above #2 in reverse. Drop the whole file into the unit without opening. #4 - unplug the unit and take the batteries out and let the screen completely fade to off/cleared (at least a full minute.) #5 - upload in a different order #6 - Clear everything from the GPX file and start over Yes, I have had this work in multiple variations..... and finally what I usually end up doing ...#7 - Load my trustworthy Garmin Colorado

My friend just got a Lowrance Safari for geocaching and is trying to download the caches. He also has a Mac computer. We need to download caches to the Lowrance. Need a How to lesson please!

I used LOYAL in other online names - I didn't realize that your "title" would be something you are known by. LOYAL is more than a word to me. It is almost a state of being. I am fiercely loyal to those I love and will stand be them through anything. But I found that I was loyal to a fault....because I wasn't being loyal to myself. I became what others wanted me to be. Now - I am loyal to me, loyal to living my life. DIPITY - In October I was on a camping trip trying something new and trying to find "me". The group that I met up with camping were new cachers and had to take the new girl to find the cache. I was monumentally intrigued!!! although I didn't "get it" for months after - I thought it was only in Indiana State Parks and were only tupperware containers. So I found geocaching when I was trying to finds something else - serendipity! The entire month of October I tried new things and stepped outside the proverbial box looking for whatever was missing in my life. Serendipity again - I was searching for something and found a new me. I don't like the name Sara (long story involving an Ex LOL) and I wanted my name to be something about Serendipty - so I combined the two things that mean the most to me right now!!!! There are several caches that have continued to need maintenance and the owner's don't have valid email address and haven't been active for over one year. I've seen other caches adopted....how do I do it????

I'm having the same problem!!!! That is what I was on here for!!! The found ones "disappear". I had used EasyGPS for transfering....I don't like it....anybody know of one better?

THANK YOU SO MUCH.... I DID THE RESTART SEVERAL TIMES IN A ROW AND RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE "No detailed maps found that support routing. The Nuvi cannot be used without them." AND IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. i CANNOT GET IT PAST THE LOADING MAPS SCREEN.....

I have a Garmin Nuvi260. I tried using my pocket query and got easy GPS last night. and then highlighted all of the caches.....and sent to GPS. Now my GPS just says Loading maps. UH OH. HOw do I get it to dump the info if I can't even get it to turn on??????
