  1. Here is my log from 12:35 tonight. Thank You ECB. I saw that you had dropped a coin in this cache today, but figured that someone was already on the way to the cache, so waited an hour, still no new log, so hopped in the car, drove through several snow squalls and whiteouts on the 30 mi trek to the cache. Walking down the trail, couldn't see any footprints in the snow, but then it was fresh, but at the cache site, still couldn't make out any. Opened the container, and LO' lookie here, an Easter egg!!! To keep the karma good in the cache, I left a Clatmandu karma coin and pathtag. A most EGGCELLENT coin
  2. My first was an OTF only to find It was on an island 2mi from shore at the base of an abandond lighthouse. Following year, there was house construction on the island and posted private prop. Someone did ask permission to look, but couldn't find anything.
  3. Didn't even know you could ask for your Charter Membership to be reinstated, so I haven't even asked. Might have to send off an email.
  4. You might want to try getting in touch with COTY 03. He is from Temperance. Could proably get rides from him to events. Might even know him already. Email him through his profile in GC.com BTW, there was an event in Temperance several years ago, at Carrs Grove park.
  5. A sail maker would probably be able to make them quite cheaply.
  6. Like RPW said, you should check out the MIGO site. http://www.mi-geocaching.org/ and since your in Temperance, you should also check out the NW Ohio GeoCachers, mostly in the Toledo area. http://www.nwogeo.org/ You just missed a great event on Belle Isle in the Detroit River this past Sunday. Well over a hundred cachers from MI, OH,and Ont
  7. It was the closest to work. Tried it one day after work, kept loosing signal in the woods,( older gpsr's oly track 8 birds), so came back the following day armed with the gpsr and a compass. Had no trouble finding it. FTF too.
  8. All the winners are shown on the jeep site now. http://jeep.geocaching.com/
  9. Best writing utensle for the winter is a pencile. Can't freeze. I always try to keep some mechanical pencils in my caches. Under 3' of snow, thats quite an insulating layer. Inside the cache, it was probably 25-28 degrees.
  10. Got my coins today. Having grown up in Port Huron and looking across the lake towards Sarnia, these coins have some special meaning for me. Thanks. Crossed that bridge many times.
  11. Got my set in the mail today. Great job Mike and Darlene.
  12. Great job on the coins. I got one of the non trackable ones last night from Windrose. BTW, wish you could send some of that snow over here Mike.
  13. They're called split rings, don't know if you'd be able to get them on the coin though.
  14. I just posted your request in the MIGO UP chapter forums. Most of the mines are in the western UP, which is about 10hrs away from me.
  15. So many to choose from, I'll make it easy and put mine here. http://www.geocaching.com/track/log.aspx?l...ca-c07b94c06ff4
  16. I'll put a plug in for my entry too. http://www.geocaching.com/track/log.aspx?l...ca-c07b94c06ff4
  17. If you go to Roseville Parks and Rec, they have GPSr's you can take out on loan to try geocaching. Talk to Bobbie, she'll get you set up.
  18. You can also use this one http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...19-c6e4fc70960d as a refrence point for some easy caches. It's a bit out of town but there are many caches in a small area with minimal driving. There are also some nice caches along the Mission Penninsula to the north of town. Have a great vacation there. I love the TC area, I'll be somewhat near there in two weeks.

  22. Never a coin, but in 02' found a set of TB tags that Jeremy had left in a cache.
  23. There are a lot of great caches in the area and a lot of cachers. I would suggest staying with 1:1 2:2 caches since you havent found any yet. Up in that area, they can get quite tough to get to. Hills, swamps, deep forest, river crossings. etc.
