Last year we stumbled on our first cache and it had a travel bug in it, it had a tag on it with a website etc so we bought it home and looked it up. It was really interesting, but we were still unsure so after taking a photo or two of it with the kids we put it back where we got it from, yes we did log it on the sites required. We never went looking again until this past week, we bought a GPS, we have no idea what we are doing but it is fun lol. Kids are treasure hunting, hubby and I are out and about. I looked up the Travel bug we found and can see it has moved on a bit so obviouslly I did something right and I am one of the people you talk about - I have found 7 caches. Its not just the new people that screw up, some of us are trying to understand and do everything right.

Hi, I did my first search last year but have just bought my GPS and decided to go out this week. We found a couple quite easily as we knew the area, but have had no luck at all today Our first find we took out a trinket for our daughter and left 2 toy things in return, went back the next day with the kids to see if they could find it and maybe get them interested, they found it, all excited. Noone else had written in the log, but one of the toys had gone, noone had logged it on the computer either. The second cache we found a similar thing.....they didnt take our trinkets we left but they covered the cache in pulled up weeds...... My question is - why dont people log in the book or on the computer? Is this normal? Next question is how do I find someone near me that can help us, we have 5 kids under 9 so need easy ones to start with, some today said they were easy but by golly we were stumped. Thanks.
