  1. Can we search for longest distance travelled? I would also like to know the earliest released.
  2. Yeah yeah yeah ... and let's sue McDonald's for making kids fat and the gun manufacturer's for people shooting people. And this too ... "WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Krispy Kreme has offered to reward students with a doughnut for every A on their report card - up to six per grading period - sparking concern among school officials trying to fight childhood obesity." OMG! kids eating sweets! Take responsibility for yourself and your children's actions and everything will be alright.
  3. There have to be more out there!
  4. Exactly .... Here is an example of just that ... Let's forget the whole disabilities thing ... I enjoy them. I also enjoy regular caches and multiple caches. They all have their place. If someone does not like them, don't do them. Don't even look at a page with them on it. But I don't think removing the choice altogether is the right thing to do.
  5. "...Carin... says sometimes the hill is too steep or rocky for the kids to climb safely, so Larry will climb up, find the cache and bring it down to the kids." That is all I was trying to say. There are some terrains etc... that don't lend themselves to little legs or they don't have the stamina. Glad yours does. No I don't think my children are a disability.
  6. Meanwhile .... back on topic ... I think virtual caches have a place. As a previous poster pointed out that if one has disabilities then there are caches still available to them. My disabilities consist of 2 daughters 3 and 5 that don't care to hike more than 1/2 a mile into the woods while being eaten by mosquitos.
  7. As my joined date indicates, I am not a newbie ... but I am a newbie. I did not have a GPS for a long time. But I would cruise through as a armchair geocacher. Now I "R" one and now I post to the forums. I have noticed a general trend among my friends to have heard of it now... In 2001 nobody had heard of it. So I would say it is growing via word of mouth pretty quickly right now.
  8. Here is a link to the hospital a friend of mine in Tallahassee just sent me. More Info! Here is another I want to try .... Haunted Cemetary
  9. I did not do this cache ... but I drove by it this past weekend and it was very creepy looking ... Creepy abandoned hospital in Tallahassee, FL
