  1. My cousin got a new Legend for 60$ but it wasn't from garmin, he got it off ebay.
  2. Any type of salomon boot, most are waterproof and range from 30-150$
  3. I always use the topo maps on Terraserver or whatever that map application is to find drainages for unrun creeks, caves, potential caves, and ruins and natural bridges.
  4. I can't decide if this is complete B.S. or if it is really real. I'm leaning more toward the B.S. side though.
  5. I usually just use whatever has good batteries and is laying around. That is usually my Princeton Tec headlamp or my Petzl Zipka.
  6. I always like a challenge. All my hides I try to make either difficult to find or difficult to get to.
  7. If I go I don't care who takes my caches as long as someone does.
  8. The Camel Back HAWG. Or the Lowe Alpine Cold Smoke 30. You really don't need anything over 900 cu. in. in size.
  9. I've done sections of it and when i graduate high school i plan to do it.
  10. A very good pack for geocaching. I won mine in a contest at my local outdoor store. I also like to use my lowe alpine cold smoke 30. 900 cu. in. is a good amount of space for a geocaching pack.
  11. I really liked the movie and it reminded me alot of the Da Vinci Code.
  12. I still the prefer the old fashioned way of cheesy pick up lines instead of meeting babes online. A few of my favorites include: "You'll do" "Nice boots wanna go out" "You are hot"
  13. Any pair of salomons. They look snazzy and are are built for adventure racing and distance backpacking.
  14. Amerikans watch way too much crime television. They are conditioned to view strangers as rapists, murderer, and/or cannibals. Nevermind that Joe Sixpack is more likely to be killed on the freeway or by his fast food diet... So no, I'm not surprised that 40 year old white guys with "detonators," er, GPSr, are being reported to the cops by over-caffeinated, paranoid, "patriotic" citizens. -Christian who is more afraid of his government than terrorists I think he has a good point about the whole thing. We do watch more violent tv and our view of the passerby is possibly ascew. We need to think about the other persons point of view before we do things. And our way of thinking has gotten us into a mind set of us against them. <flamebait>
  15. Here's an idea. I know its kind of against the rules but oh well. Take the drum and stick an altoids tin to the top magnetically and put the log bookin it. Then dig a hole and stick an ammo can full of swag in the hole and place the drum on top. That way noone can complain about a micro in the woods.
  16. I have gotten compliments on how well hidden my caches are and their unique locations.
  17. I can think of plenty of places to hide one, I just don't have the money to fill it.
  18. 1. a,b,c 2. a,b 3. a 4. a 5. a My water filters have included a Pur Hiker, MSR mini ceramic(or something like that), and a Sweetwater(my personal favorite).
  19. Well, it was archived and we've all been labeled immature cachers for expressing our point of view. Kind of funny in my opinion.
  20. Tie a rope to a cinder block, put a figure eight on a byte on the end of the rope, attach a carabiner, and clip it on the handle of the cache.
  21. Yeah I just read the article on the rescue of all of the people.
  22. Sure not Fly. I enjoy driving around old cemetaries and lookingat the ornate gravestones and crypts.
  23. I personally would feel offended if the cache had made me go and sit through a sermon to get the smiley even though I consider myself a strong Christian. The fact that i may have to go and listen to a perspective on a point that I may not totally agree on to get a find doesn't seem like a very respectful thing to do. I also have a cache at a church that I attend for scout meetings. I put it up so that people could learn, if they chose, the interesting history the church has played in my town.
  24. I have 82 finds: 16 in Virginia 2 in Florida 4 in Michigan 2 Locationless 58 in Tennessee
