  1. You know, I don't even know if I will be able to make it now. A family function came up and it would only allow me to attend for about 15 min before I would have to leave. Still trying to work something out so I can be there. How I see it my cousin will probably get married again in a couple of years, but this meeting is a once in a lifetime thing. Ah well, I still have to convince CherryPie to that yet.
  2. I can help you out on that Queen. Leroy, Monster Box and Demolings are winter friendly, but they all require a bit of a hike to each one. I loved them all and I should probably refind them with my snowshoes before the white stuff is gone. Wish there was more that require a hike to get to. As for White-tailed Trail it will be about a 1 km round trip hike that is winter friendly. It was fun and reconmend it. Griffith's Hills is worth the work, but you better have one of your lucky coins to find that one in the winter, and as far as I know I still have your #7 that I always keep in my pocket when caching. If you figured out the co-ords to Kudlowicz then you are half way to finding it. It will be I think the shortest walk, but man I don't know I spent an hour looking for it to be FTF, but I couldn't see it anywhere. Peter is talented at hiding caches not only from muggles, but from geocachers as well . As for Forget Me Not, and Manitoba Minutiae I don't know I haven't got around to doing them yet.
  3. I am from Canada, and when I was going thru Northwestern Georgia (Dalton) I went to a cemetery cache at night.534 CSA CSX Since it was my first cemetery cache I thought it was a little creepy for me. It was about a hundred feet off the side by a tree close to the homes around the cemetery. I guess it was also creepy to the homeowners having someone walking around a cemetery at night with a flashlight and it didn't take long for the cops to show up. Hard to convince an officer that you love a game so much that you would travel hundreds of miles to find a container at night in a graveyard. Apparently thou it doesn't require caching at night to get the cops attention because the next day I went caching during daylight and was pulled over because they were wondering why I was parked on that street, and that cop was a real a**. So needless to say I don't think I will cache in Georgia anymore, beautiful state, but the locals are a little uptight about strange vehicles.
  4. I guess that is what it is. I am still waiting for conformation from the owner on it, but I feel very confident that I will be able to log the find. Thanks to everyone for helping me on this one. I will remove the picture so no local geocachers can see it. Thanks again.
  5. if you are telling the truth then I love you.
  6. My wife bought me a gps unit for Christmas and I wanted it for Hunting/Fishing and I felt that the one she purchased was too expensive so I returned it and got a Garmin etrex Legend. I then quickly found out that it didn't support auto routing and when I returned it the sales man told me about the new Garmin 60cs that will be coming out shortly that did support auto routing, and he asked me if I knew about Geocaching. I said no, and he told me about the Website. (Funny thing is before I knew about Geocaching, I had already plans of testing out the unit by hiding an object and then letting my wife see if she could find it.) I decided to then put a deposit on the unit that was not yet released and checked out the caches in my area. I discovered a couple that I could try out without the Gpsr and quickly got hooked. Needless to say I was probably the first person to get that unit in Manitoba because I constantly nagged him until he gave me my unit before it even hit the shelves. I now use my Gpsr to navigate when I am traveling and for of course Geocaching. I do believe I did use it once for hunting but I was in such a familiar area that it was kind of useless.
  7. but the owner didn't specify which method of finding out what it is, is against the rules. I don't have the slightest clue, asking here is just one method of trying to find someone who knows what it is. I am hoping for a lot of guesses so I can bombard the owner with answers so that eventually it will be the right answer or he just gets tired of my answers and allows me to log it as found.
  8. A cache opened up and in order to log it you have to correctly guess what the mystery item is. I can't figure it out because I have never seen something like this before.
  9. I always carry a backpack with me that will have a wide variety of trade items so that I can choose which item is the best to trade with depending on what items are in the cache. I also carry with me a compass, bug spray, pens and pencils, flashlight, knife, bottle of water, spare batteries, Ziplocs, and a medium sized container in case a cache is in need of serious repair, or if I get the urge to leave a cache somewhere of my own. Also depending on the time of year (like now) I will also carry gloves and a cap in case it happens to be cool out.
  10. Hey I just looked at a listing of a T.B. and there was music playing in the background. I was wondering if anyone knew how to do this, and if anyone else knows some other ways to make your cache page or T.B. page fun and interesting to read?
  11. I was wondering if there really are people who like to do difficult caches? There is a cache in Manitoba rated a 5x5 and it sounds like it is very hard. It is called Brains, Brawn and Beauty Cache

    Profile

Hi, I want to organize my profile by listing special caches found, 1st, 50th, last cache found ect. and I have seen some profiles that have an actual link so when you click it; it takes you to the cache page. I would also like to know how to space out the paragraphs in the profile so that everything is not all mashed together in one continues sentence. If anyone knows please share. Thanxs
