  1. I'll forward this to one of our engineers to look at... do you still have this problem today?
  2. We've given away hundreds of Adventure credits over the last couple of months in an effort to learn more about how this platform and where it needs to go in 2020. And we have a plan. If you've previously requested a credit (there were thousands of you who did) I'd like to please ask for your continued patience as we work hard to make this an easier, more approachable experience for geocachers and non-geocachers alike. This Fall/Winter we will look at handing out more batches of credits from our existing pool as well as invite others to explore a few new areas. One area we would like to explore more is how Adventures might be used outside of the Geocaching world. We want to build a platform where anyone—Geocachers and non-Geocachers— can create, share and play location-based games. I'd love to hear all your creative ideas! Here are a few we've heard already: Are you an educator who wants to set up a self-guided tour to help your students learn all year round? Are you part of an artist organization or group of artists wanting to showcase your work in public all year round? Are you in the travel or tourism business and want to give tourists an amazing local experience? Do you have a Youtube channel and want to help us create and inspire others to create? Please comment below with your ideas below! If we missed something you think we should add to the list above, please let me know! With much appreciation for all you do, Lackey Dave
  3. To chime in on this, we ourselves are exploring new ways in which this platform can be used in new and innovative ways. This means things like Education sector (imagine if you're a teacher and want to give your students a self-guided tour of a demonstration forest to learn the names of trees), Arts sector (I went to the Mega in Scotland—the street art in Aberdeen UK is amazing!). Perhaps I'll start a thread to help generate ideas.
  4. We are looking at making the builder experience better before we ask for more help. We've learned a lot about what is working and what is not this summer. We are looking at what it takes to support more people, like yourselves, who want credits to build. Look for an update on this topic in November.
  5. You'll need a connection to play. We are discussing how to support offline scenarios still.
  6. Not yet. Look for an update sometime this Fall that will provide Creators with activity logs on the Adventure Details page.
  7. Please try using the new map feature we just released, instead of a location spoofing app.
  8. We are trying to troubleshoot which devices and scenarios are currently causing the Adventures app to crash or lock up when android users are hitting the back button. If this has happened to you, could you please reply with your make/model of your phone and what steps we should take to reproduce? Thanks again for helping us!
  9. Which Sansung are you using and how old is it?
  10. We'll do another pass on our battery consumption tests... the new map feature is likely to need some tuning. Thanks for the feedback
  11. Introductions My name is ampdavid and I'm your Product Manager for Adventures here at HQ. My first two months here at HQ have been very busy and I wanted to spend a moment to update you on our progress. I also wanted to thank you for all the wonderful feedback we've been receiving through the app, it's been helpful and informative. Feedback Summary You want a map? No problem. It's the #1 most requested feature and we're working on delivering it to you this summer. We also have been focusing on fixing bugs and taking your suggestions for making your adventuring easier. Vision What's our vision for Adventures? Adventures is a platform that enables anyone to create, share, and play using interactive location-based gaming. In order to achieve this vision we have a roadmap to get us there. Where are we starting? Here's our roadmap for the next couple months. Roadmap We're going to start with making a compelling and playful Map view to help you explore. We are also going to be working on making it easier and clearer for new adventurers to sign up—data shows us that we have an opportunity to make this easier for more casual players. The other big focus is giving you the ability to send feedback to the adventure creator and other members of the community. We want to make it easier for you to give each other feedback on all the wonderful Adventures that have been created. We've got a lot of exciting things planned going into 2020, so stay tuned! And thanks again for all the feedback, it really is helpful. - ampdavid
