  1. Happy Mother's Day, ladies! May you have wonderful weather....and find some good caches today! YOU are appreciated!
  2. Nope, that's not me! I guess Muir is doing one for the general public and I'm doing one for our private club!
  3. Hi Folks, I'm a member of the Central Indiana Wilderness Club (www.ciwclub.org) a group that enjoys hiking, camping, bicycling, and all kinds of outdoors activities. I'm gonig to teach a beginning geocaching workshop for them...has anyone else done antying like this? Ideas on what subjects to cover? Right now, I'm thinking of basic GPS principles, What is Geocaching, types of caches, and after some "classroom" time, we'll actually go out and find some caches. Ideas, anyone>?
  4. Oh, I'm not denying that physical attraction is important.....I guess I was thinking more of relationship based SOLEY on that without common interests, goals, and so on.... Rick N9GSU
  5. In the year I've been caching, it's happened to me 3 times. Last time was by far the easiest...this young lady was paying so much attention to her GPS that she didn't know I was around, and it was obvious what she was doing. The other two times was a bit more discreet....after we both decided that the other was looking for something, we said something like "Are you a cacher"? Just curious about your experiences
  6. Hi, Gang, I was reading with interest the earlier thread about Geocaching as an online dating service, and wanted to explore this a bit more..... In our society, I think we base so much on physical attraction and not enough on common interests, hopes, dreams, and goals. Is it so wrong to try to find someone with those common interests? I think not....and I think those relationships have a better chance to survive.... Just my .02 worth! Rick
  7. OK I just called our local store (Indianapolis) and it's a local, grand opening sale....sorry for the mix up!!!! Rick
  8. Frye's, if you have one in your area, has the Magellan Exporist 100 on sale for $59.00. Although it doesn't have any bells and whistles to speak of, it WOULD make a great second GPS, for something for a Struggling College Student or someone else on a tight budget. Just a heads up!
