  1. Hi, I am moving out of the big smoke and have 3 caches which need adopting. There are 2 Puzzle caches in Fulham and one very long Multi that ends in Putney. Is there anyone willing to adopt these so I don't have to archive them. Many thanks, MC
  2. Madam Cholet and Smuggle Bug don the disguise supplied with GC2NEAK
  3. My Legend stopped working while on holiday and I found part of the on/off switch had broken. I had to remove the rubber surround and bodge the switch with bits of a less used switch, a pair of tweezers and a roll of selotape. I have dropped it several times and it's years old. I was more than happy to pay £36 for a full overhaul and 12 months warranty or a replacement. Most companies won't touch out of warranty repairs and you have to buy a new one. The repair price varies with the model of GPS. I'm looking forward to getting it (or a replacement) back soon.
  4. I meant all women. Conditional female suffrage was granted in Sweden during the age of liberty (1718–1771), but this right was restricted and did not apply to women in general. Unrestricted women's suffrage in terms of voting rights was granted in New Zealand in the early 1893. I'll give a DING to Norsch for being close enough as this will be my last visit for a few weeks. (Watch the caches on Easter Island to watch my progress!)
  5. Which was the first country to give women the right to vote and in which year?
  6. Your wish.... Was hoping to get this one on Sunday while waiting for a coach home but then got offered a lift instead. Oh well, next time..
  7. Bumping this up in the hope ChaceGuild spots it
  8. Seeing as it's nearly time to change the clocks.... in which year was the Summer Time Act passed which introduced British Summer Time?
  9. Butterfly Garden @ Changi Airport T3 Transit GC1HA96 (Singapore) If I get a DING can someone else cover for me as I'm away all weekend.
  10. Getting there.... She ended up getting the boos and jeers meant for Brando and thus continued the ill-treatment he was protesting against.
  11. I thought the Isle of Man wasn't part of the UK (although it is part of the British Isles). The cache is GC1RFH5 The Isle of Man's Extremeties (EAST) Geoff Ooh, caught out by a technicality. You're absolutely right, of course. A DING to Pajaholic
  12. Is anyone interested in joining me on Sunday to get Obey the Moon GCWRYY at Hammersmith, London? I've done caches in the area and know the spot so would be happier to not be doing it alone. Low water is just after 2pm so ideal caching time. Definately wear old clothes and wellies.
  13. It Happened one Night, One Flew over the cuckoo's nest, and silence of the lambs. DING, either you're as big a movie fan as me or you're googling.
  14. Seeing as it's Oscars week and I love movies..... Only three films have even won all top five Oscars - Best Film, Actor, Actress, Director and Writing. Name one of them?
  15. Electrical Engineering. I know that because my brother went to uni with him.
  16. Ah movies, my favourite although I did have to paf (Smuggle Bug) to confirm. She is, afterall, my partner in all movie making mayhem. DrDick&Vick are correct about the St valentines Day massacre when Al capone and his men dispatched the lead. L'Amour Cache is a film by Italian director Al Capone. Oh, beaten by one minute. That'll teach me to be multi tasking (drinking tea and texting).

  18. OK, now my ears have stopped ringing, here we go.
