  10. anybody have any experience with geoshopsweden.com ? I have tried to make a purchase there, but at checkout time, I get a message that the only delivery option is "walk in" at the store the drop-down country menu for address entry includes USA I also had a friend in Switzerland try to make a purchase for me they got the same result I have sent e-mail via the "contact us" link, but no reply after four days any assistance on how to buy from this site would be appreciated
  11. to the best of my knowledge, the GC.com website does not support more than one owner of a trackable item(I believe the same to be true of geocache ownership) your best option in this case is probably adding yourself to the watch list
  12. it does not look like that would slow this person downthe original post indicates that there have also been bogus post-dated find logs by them on several archived hides
  13. seeking 2007 Zodiac Gemini, both female and male please contact me via my profile if you have these to offer I am confident that we can work out a mutually agreeable deal
  14. as an added bonus, I believe that the Earthcache option is inside the secure zone, and thus would keep you from having to go through security again but if you are determined to have a ride in a taxi . . . I would advise against any of the power trail geocaches to the east of the airport there are runways between the terminal and those geocaches meaning that you would have to take a long way around in order to get to them a better option would probably be some of the many hides to the southwest there is a cluster of hotels/motels there about six miles from the terminal any cab driver would know how to get there center on GC2CH3R to see if there are any that strike your fancy there is even a bug motel nearby, but it is about 200 feet from parking .
  15. did this project ever get done ?if so, I'd be interested in them . . .
  16. that will only tell you the total number of codes registered for the credit card coins it won't break it down by color or finish for that, "contact the maker" is the best bet an extreme example of this is the "CC Geocoins" that particular name includes eight different geocoins August 2005 thru March 2006 it all depends on how the coin maker does things it goes the other way, too the "pocket decoder" items have three lines - one for each finish
  17. it looks like this thread has gathered all of the information that is readily available in summary - silver version exists, and has soft enamel gold version exists, and has imitation hard enamel gold error version exists, and has same enamel as the "regular" version . . . the "error" is an incorrect background color of orange . . . each error coin was replaced a regular one, and has the same tracking code artist versionn exists, but is not trackable on GC.com . . . finish and enamel not known at this time my main interest was to determine what to look for to add to my collection since my focus is on trackable coins, it looks like I only need two the silver and the gold for me, the error version is of low interest, since it would not have a different tracking code I will watch this space, and welcome any new information . . .
  18. to the best of my knowledge, there are only three ways to see an archived geocache - search by hider name search by finder name search by GC code if none of these work in the situation under discussion, I would advise that you contact the owner of the non-archived geocache that mentions the archived geocache, and ask for guidance
  19. it took me a few days, but I have been able to gather some more info on these geocoins there are at least 360 of them TB247KF thru TB247YY = 325 TB2914Z thru TB29132 = 35 I have looked at each of these 360 trackable pages to my surprise, 220 of them (almost two-thirds) have not been activated yet less of a surprise is that just about all of the coins that were released have gone missing the bulk of the ones that are still active were never released into the wild, but are in collections that are shared at events many of the activated ones (well over half of them) do not have a picture or other indication of the version here are the ones that do - # 1 - picture is of a silver coin # 9 - picture is of a silver coin # 10 - picture is of a silver coin # 16 - picture is of a silver coin # 18 - picture is of a silver coin # 22 - picture is of a silver coin, appears to be soft enamel # 26 - coin name says silver # 29 - coin name says antique nickel # 34 - picture is of a silver coin # 35 - picture is of a silver coin # 39 - picture is of a silver coin # 42 - picture is of a silver coin # 46 - picture is of a silver coin # 57 - picture is of a silver coin # 59 - picture is of a silver coin # 66 - picture is of a silver coin # 68 - picture is of a silver coin # 78 - coin name says antique silver, picture is of a silver coin # 94 - description says "antique silver" and "soft enamel", picture is of a silver coin # 98 - description says "silver" # 100 - coin name says silver # 104 - coin name says silver, picture is of a silver coin # 113 - picture is of a silver coin # 114 - coin name says silver # 119 - picture is of a silver coin # 140 - coin name says silver # 148 - description says "silver" # 150 - coin name says silver # 153 - picture is of a silver coin # 154 - picture is of a silver coin # 158 - picture is of a silver coin # 161 - description says "pair" of coins # 165 - picture is of a silver coin # 166 - picture is of a gold coin # 174 - coin name says gold # 180 - description says "gold", picture is of a gold coin # 181 - description says "pair" of coins # 185 - picture is of a gold coin # 197 - picture is of a gold coin # 217 - picture is of a gold coin # 223 - picture is of a gold coin # 231 - coin name says gold and hard enamel, picture is of a gold coin # 237 - coin name says set # 241 - coin name says gold, description says "gold" and "hard enamel", picture is of a gold coin # 243 - description says "pair", picture is of a gold coin # 244 - coin name says gold # 249 - description says "gold", picture is of a gold coin # 256 - picture is of a gold coin # 258 - coin name says gold, picture is of a gold coin # 266 - description says "gold" # 267 - description says "gold" # 269 - description says "pair" of coins # 294 - picture is of a gold coin # 295 - coin name says gold # 300 - picture is of a gold coin # 307 - description says "gold", picture is of a gold coin # 313 - coin name says gold # 317 - picture is of a gold coin # 323 - picture is of a silver coin # 332 - picture is of a gold coin I did not find the word "artist" in any of the places that I looked perhaps they do not actually exist perhaps there is another group of coins that I did not find there is not really enough date to draw firm conclusions but here is one possibility - there were 180 silver coins made and 180 gold coins made the silver had soft enamel, and the gold had imitation hard enamel I have e-mailed 9Key (the creator of these geocoins) and asked if there is any information that they would be willing to share we shall see . . .
  20. here is what I think that I know . . . produced in 2008 four versions - gold error gold silver artist it is my understanding that the mint made incorrect gold coins, and re-minted them I believe that the re-minted coins had the same tracking codes as the error coins and that many of the gold coins sold were sets of the two with the same tracking code unknowns - 1. just what the "error" was 2. what is different about the artist edition - finish, enamel, etc 3. is my list of four versions complete 4. approximate quantities corrections to the above are welcome any additional insights/information would be appreciated
  21. one of the options available when building a pocket query is to show geocaches that indicate that they contain trackable(s) you can use this alone, or in combination with other criteria (difficulty/terrain ratings, size, etc) you can center such a query on any of the standard points (specific coordinates, home coordinates, zip code, etc) as noted above, this does not assure that there are actually trackables in the geocache I believe that pocket queries are a premium member feature
  22. thanks for the tip I gave it a try - several times (just my computer - I do not have a router) sadly, it did not seem to have made a difference
  23. similar situation here all worked well on Monday 15 December 2014 starting Wednesday 17 December 2014, I have not been able to log in trying geocaching.com or geocaching.com/login gets The page cannot be displayed Cannot find server or DNS Error trying geocaching.com/seek goes to the correct page clicking "sign in" on this page gets the same error message as above

  25. I just sent an adoption offer for one of my geocoins the acknowledgment e-mail included the following text - "Now we just wait and see if they accept. In the meantime, if you are unable to maintain the Trackable, please consider disabling it until it has been successfully adopted." is it now possible to disable a trackable ? if so, any idea how to go about doing it ? (I looked on the trackable page, but saw nothing) any idea what happens when a trackable item is disabled ? eg - are logs not allowed ? does it not show up on searches ? etc
