  1. A major flaw that will most definitely keep me from buying this unit. Things that the Jr. needs to be fully funtional, Mark or exclude ALL of a persons found caches (I know I cant keep track of all of my finds anymore.) Include premium member caches for us premium members. Allow up to 5 manual coordinates (Pushes for multis)
  2. If I where to buy a Geomate.jr how would it know my found caches? Would I have to go into the device and manually select all the ones I have found? Thanks.
  3. WOW!!! RUDE BUNCH aren't they? You have to wonder who crawls out of bed and is that personally offensive every single day to everyone that they have to piss in everyone else's cheerios! Dang! Remind me NEVER to sell anything here in Garage Sale! Heck, I'd rather go back to our local Kmart and get ripped off paying DOUBLE for something I am only trying to exchange even up! (shaking head) I think its time for a few people to grow up and get a life outside of harrassing others! Even my dear sweet objectionable when he needs to be husband isn't THAT bad
  4. Any size is fine for us. Just as long as it is well hidden. We have a cacher who hides their caches in a drive by method. Basically if we see it is one of theirs, we get as close as we can in the car with the Nuvi and look to where this person can toss the container. Not much of a challenge.
  5. The thrill of peeing in the woods the hunt. Also the great people we get to meet.
  6. Sorry have a double post going. I know they can be bought via the web. I would rather buy these local. I not only use them for Geocaching but also for our kitchen. Original post, WalMart, K-Mart and Ace Hardware all had them in my area. (Wisconsin) Now, none of them do. They have been replaced by the cheapo versions from Sterilite and Rubbermaid. I know I can buy direct from them but would like to be able to buy local.
  7. As others have said, lead isnt the killer metal it is hyped up to be. But, just to keep anyone from freaking out on your lead coins, it will be better to use pewter instead. As Team Shiney already said it is cheap and readily available. and if you really want to get carried away, electroplate them with real gold!
  8. Like that game is ever going to come out. The following things have been accomplished since Duke Nukem Forever was announced on April 28th, 1997. The two Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity were proposed, authorized, announced, designed, launched and successfully landed upon Mars where they have been exploring the surface for years. The International Space Station was assembled and has been orbiting Earth for over 10 years. Things that have taken less time than Duke Nukem Forever's Development: * The Beatles formed, released every single one of their albums and broke up. During this time they also toured the world several times. * Led Zeppelin released 7 albums, 9 singles, and toured around the world, crossing international borders 27 times (not counting mainland Europe.) * The Wright brothers designed and flew the first airplane. * The theory of General Relativity. * The United States' entire program to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's challenge to the landing. * The complete construction of many monumental buildings and engineering projects. To name a few- o The Empire State Building (Jan 1930 - May 1931) o The Channel Tunnel (Dec 1987 - May 1994) o The Golden Gate Bridge (Jan 1933 - May 1937) o The World Trade Center (Aug 1966 - April 1973) World War II and the entire Manhattan Project. Yes, even the complete development of the atomic bomb took less time.
  9. Dont forget uploading your field notes after you are done caching. Very nice time saver.
  10. Actually GSAK will be just as important as ever. Now you can edit your database with filters to create those super custom PQ with it and import them into Cache Register. Good stuff indeed.
  11. For those with the PN-20 please make sure you have the latest firmware loaded. (v1.6 RTM) or it will NOT work. Other than that, WOW worth every penny of $9.95!!!
  12. eBay has all sorts of bags, if you wanted to go that route. Our local Staples office supply store has about 4 different sizes of these small bags.
  13. US Army 1985-1988 570th MP Plt Railway. Oberursel W. Germany I would do it all over again.
  14. I have to build one of these!! http://demonicious.com/20090530/crazy-jeep-flex/
  15. I really like the idea of this. Maybe adding a Travel Bug number printed on the card would help track it?
  16. You found every cache in Indiana using that? Color me impressed. I guess I should clarify. All the caches in Illinois that I have found. (All 4 of them.) I work for Canadian Pacific Railway. My away from home terminal is near Chicago. So, when I am stuck inthe hotel for an extended period of time waiting for a train to go home, I started geocaching.
  17. If it is after dark, all caches are night caches. Damin69 got us started on night caching, and it makes it more of a challenge. Also, more fun.
  18. Wow you must have made a wrong turn in Albuquerque to end up with Rosebud in Cazenovia, WI!! Anyway, the current Hofy Cachemobile. (This is not the actual one but it is a silver 1999 Taurus.) And this is the vehicle I used to go get all the Illinois caches so far. Yes for real.
  19. There is a series of Target caches in Madison,WI. CommanderUSN states in the notes "Special thanks to Tyler Knutson, property manager, for granting permission to place this cache." Hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.
  20. Glad you like it knowschad! The high postage for it doesnt seem all that bad now. I am really liking the fact I can now take my camera with us and not have to lug my Domke F2 camera bag also. (My other man purse.)
  21. Just an update. Been out and about caching and I am really loving this bag. The best part was sunday. My son and I went out and I knew that we would need photos for the Earthcache on our list. My camera is not a nice little point and shoot, I use a Canon 20D with battery grip and had a 17-40mm f/4 lens on it. It was a perfect fit for the main compartment.
  22. Any chance that we could get a picture of the guts? Including a pic of the update port? Thanks
  23. We have the Zagg shield on all of our GPSrs. DeLORME PN-20, Garmin etrex and Nuvi 200. If you order more than a single one then you can save up to 30% off. (We ordered with other family members for their devices.) The part I like about these is that they are die cut so they fit exactly. Also, if you need to remove it to send a unit in for repair or something, Zagg will send you another shield free. Best of all, these do not start peeling off like other screen protectors.
