    I just updated my unit firmware from 3.0 to 3.1. I used WEB ubdater for MAC OS X. The upgrade was successful, however, the tracks no longer work. I must cycle the tracks on and off severtimes to start the recording. Also, once the recording starts and with interval set to 0.01 mile/10 sec., only one pint is saved and it is the ending point. The starting point is go figure Garmin US HQ. Not sure if a unit reset is neccessary and or WEB updater for PC will fix the issue. Stephen Wagner

    NGS, Holti, Harry, Scooter, Thanks for your support with this benchmark / Airway Beacon. I found the data sheet provided. It is amazing that it is just located just feet from trail and no one has ever posted, commmented and or found remains. I am sure there is something there such as rust markings. Thanks for your help.     I found an old historical topo map of Jones Point, NY. Dunderberg Mt. The map indicates an old AirWay Beacon at the top of Dunderberg Mt. I have hiked the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail here. I have also found the old airplane wreck in the area. Where can I find additional information regarding this Navigational Airway Beacon. Stephen Wagner

    The survey monument is very close to N 42° 12.832 W 074° 02.095, GEOCACHE GCTP0X. It is located aprox. 3 miles NEE of Haines Falls. I don’t see it on the USGS TOPO print maps. It is referenced on the NY/NJ trail conference print map set Catskill Trails Map No. 40. I suspect it is not a true Bench Mark but perhaps a political boundary survey mark chiseled in stone. I will find it some day. Any additional descriptions and or information would be appreciated. SJW

    I am trying to locate the survey mark near badmans cave. I have winter backpacked in the area many times, however, I have never found the survey mark. It is shown on the New York New Jersey Trail Conference Maps. The mark is shown just North of Badmans Cave off the Escarpment Trail. Any descriptions and or information would be appreciated. SJW
