  1. I was with Flame1 when we tried to make the geocaching option work from his GPS, we downloaded the geocaching pages using easy GPS and then downloaded them to his GPS. all those geocaches came up in his GPS a a GCsomething waypoint, just like it does in mine which is an etrex legend,...I think his question is more on how to get the GPS MAP60C's special Geocaching option to work. because we weren't able to get anything to work from there or make anything work except changing the find or not find logo and to turn log in to calendar on or off.
  2. yes it does,....the map it option is only for our neighbors in the south....
  3. That's true, but it's a false analogy to a locationless that has specific requirements. same with me, I have a cache named OFFROADING, someone did find it without taking the OFFROADING route, but for me a find is a find, they are the ones loosing out on the fun or cheating themself, and If I realy didn't want anyone founding it that way I should have done a multicache out of it and make it impossible to find without taking the intended route. and another one of my cache is a night cache made with reflective tape that you are supposed to see at night last found was found during the day,.....it is still a found....doesn't have the same effect/fun while doing it....but it is THEIR loss not mine.
  4. after you get all the pushpins on S&T, how can you make it has a webpage that you can send to someone.....I've made it has far as making a webpage, being able to click on a pushpin and see the www.geocaching.com webpage for that cache, but i cant seem to be able to send that page to anyone for them to see.....
  5. thank you very much, it works...I will now close this topic
  6. I know for myself in Ontario Canada with an etrex legend the only big difference i see with WAAS turned on is the battery consumptions that sky rockets beside that i dont see a big diference in accuracy. so it is always off on my unit.
  7. thank you very much.....that is what was wrong....I took all checkmarks of MG and it works like a charm..thanks again I will now close this tread.
  8. I have a Garmin Legend GPS, and Have Metroguide canada V4, and Topo Canada V2 loaded on mapsource,...when i download it to Legend metroguide works perfectly up to the last little detail,....But I dont seem to be able to see the Topo details(elevations / brooks/ streams) is there an hidden setting i need to know or topo is just not compatible to legend. And if it is not compatible, why does it download in the GPS unit as a map and takes up the MG of memory?? thanks in advance for replies.......

  10. does anyone know a way to get them to ship in canada??? since this is written on the site • This item can only be shipped to the 50 states. We regret it cannot be shipped to APO/FPO, or Puerto Rico.
  11. Not sure this is the right place to post this, but there it is.... I am not good at making my own maps,.....what is the easiest way to make my own maps I would like a map with all the caches info/location and at least the major highways....I have mapsource and microsoft street and trips is there a way to get something done with that????? the most I've been able to do is to transfer all waypoints from a pocket quiery on mapsource,.....but it doesn't give me the info for cache??
  12. any news on getting the mapit options working in Canada soon?????
  13. I've had the etrex yellow for a 1st gps a lil over 2 1/2 years ago, it always got me where I wanted to go, and if you get an interface cable, and mapsource metroguide you dont get the maps on it, but you can still get a guided route to where you want to go( the gps tells you when to turn). I just got rid of ole yellow last month, and got an etrex legend...got to love it,...it is just a yellow on steroids haha...but for a 1st GPS nothing beats the ease of use of yellow, every commands are to the point and easy to understand(4 buttons) -move up one, -move down one, -enter, -and page up. So thumbs up for etrex yellow for being easy to use, really affordable, accurate, and reliable

  15. I think it's kind of s***y, we pay the same price membership as the americans, we should be able to see the maps too.
  16. when you go on MAP IT i see lots of caches etc.....but is there a way to see where those caches are situated on the map??? i just see caches on a black background screen
  17. this might sound like a stupid question, but i would like to put proper spacing in between my lines in a long description to make it easier to understand and separate waypoints, the proper spacing is there when i initialy write the description, but when it is generated to the website everything goes without the spacing. is it something i do wrong???
