  1. Working good here, but the thing is it doesnt show geocaching icons anymore. It shows a yellow pin, then when you mouse over it the whole thing moves and shows a geocache icon instead.
  2. Thanks for the contributions and links to other threads everyone! It is awesome to see your photos! I especially liked the Moxie at "Jammer" and Narragansett Bay photos. Where did you take those?
  3. I think it is ok...not a lot of people are even vultures, there is a way to have new emails about caches being published pop up in the corner of your screen if you have Yahoo email. Just saying, they aren't necessarily all vultures...a lot probably are though.

  5. Hello! I am sorry if there is another thread like this and if there is please point me to it, I would love to browse it! But if there isn't, this is just basically a threat to post up pictures you have taken while geocaching! It can be of the cache, of a scenic view, of an animal encountered while looking for the cache. I think it would be cool to see everyones cool pictures!
  6. Hello, I am attempting to navigate to a geocache stored in my Garmin Colorado 400T using Automobile mode. I do not know what streets to use to get to this cache, but whenever I try to navigate to cache it does not let me go to it in automobile mode. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you!
  7. Well, I created a pocket query that I wanted to show all caches I haven't found in a ten mile radius from coordinates obtained from my GPS. But, it sure seems like it went way farther then ten miles. Is this really a ten mile radius?
  8. What I mean about sometimes working sometimes not is sometimes it has a quite accurate area even under tree cover, and sometimes under less dense tree cover it is worse It just kind of randomly fluctuates. I heard you had to turn that WAAS thing on...how do you do that with an etrex legend H?
  9. Hello! I am trying to find a GPS to use. I have been using an etrex legend H and sometimes it works well and sometimes it doesn't. I have probably narrowed other types down either the etrex legend hCX or etrex vista hCX. However, the vista is more expensive, and it doesn't seem a whole lot different then the legend. Also, can I get turn by turn navigation to a way point like in a car?
  10. If it is one that doesn't have a whole lot of tree cover try downloading Google Earth and putting the coordinates into it. That is how I found my first two or three, if it isn't under a lot of tree cover. I also bring with print outs of satellite images with to go along with GPS. It helps a lot.
  11. I am looking up the prices of maps, does anyone have a reccomendation for a good map off of Garmin website?
  12. I checked out the Legend HCx and it looks pretty good, but from the reviews it says you probably need to buy more maps...is there anywhere you can get those for free or do you have to purchase them? Also, for anyone that personally owns one of these, can the compass be deactivated? I heard it wasted battery.
  13. Is auto routing at all required or a lot easier for geocaching?
  14. Hi, I am new to this and looking for a good GPS to buy. I was researching some ones that might be good...It seems that the Garmin eTREX Legend is good, but I wanted to get some opinions here before I buy it. Thank you!
