I for one am glad that this event was posted as early as possible. There are many people that have work and travel plans that need time to work out. We have several people from other countries that are planning on attending and this also gives them the opportunity to plan and respond. Also I see that the event page was set up to give an ongoing update to the events and plans as they are being constructed. They are working with travel agencies to try to get reduced rates and, local business, and even out of state business and people involved in the preparations for this. Why all the whining, should we judge you by your actions and deeds or just by what you say. Wouldn't it be better to offer assistance in getting the word out to your local community or is it better to whimper that I will have to look at this for several months. As cachers cant we all work together or should we all just throw stones at other communities because we feels ours is better. If you can't do that then maybe you should just do what was taught may years ago.. If you can't say something nice don't say anything.!!

The point is to identify and memorialize the original first cache in each state. It also creates a visible incentive for cachers to find them by having the icon on the stats page. Love the idea...there has to be a way to make it happen an I'm sure that many of the top cache hiders would love to place a replacment cache or reactivate the original and adopt it..

I would not worry for a day or two... give UPS time to get it logged and in the system.. my last order took over night to show activity from UPS.

Just got this email IPs usually get blocked by the server as a protection mechanism when the server detects an unusually high amount of traffic from that address. If you'll send me your IP, I'll look into this issue for you. With as many people relying on this server it has to be on the safe side.. I'd hate to see the site go down hard and cause everyone the withdrawals that I have been having...... .. So I will wait patiently and see what happens... I still got my PQ so not so bad can still cache but just can't log them yet.. or update any new caches I have ready to put out...

Great Ideas I have felt the same way many times... and a simple box that is owner viewed should be easy to add to the page..

That was the first thing i did but no response yet.. just trying to find out if others have had this problem.. will be looking for reply email sometime today.. figure its got to be something easy to fix.. only thing i can think of is i put site on mobleFavorites list maybe that caused it to see to much activity or something..

Wow got a new one today... has anyone been hit with this one or is this just for me... not sure why this would happen.. AV is good ..Firewall is set right...the only thing that I did in the last few days was add http://members.aol.com/GeocacherBB/locationless.html to my mobile Favorites folder for my pocket pc..Can't see how that would cause a problem.. any info would be appreciated.
