  1. There are still issues with getting mileage updated correctly, no doubt . I just checked some of my TBs that have moved recently and one that moved in early March didn't have the mileage updated but one that moved yesterday did.
  2. Here's some in GA for you.... GC27B2 GC3B18 GC58A1 GC9E55 GCD2D6 GCGEYE GCGJMM GCGPB5 GCGT66 GCGY24 GCHK70 GCHNAG GCHTFB GCJWAZ GCJYGN GCKA6Q GCKD2T GCKN95 GCM5PA GCMCCX GCMNYF GCMWHC GCNTW9 GCNW2J GCP1GG GCP70Z GCPBV0 GCPNRD GCQ4BF GCQFHJ GCQKV2 GCR182 GCR5T4 GCR9NH GCRA1V GCRX33 GCRXHC GCRZ93 GCRZBN GCT0Q6 GCT22X GCT3VB GCT76T GCTFKZ GCTK5X GCTPF8 GCTQV9
  3. You could use progressive hints - something like: [nudge] - Hidden next to tree. [nudge, nudge] - Hidden next to pine tree. [Total spoiler] - Hidden next to the only pine tree located in this section of the woods. Look around for a pine tree. See it - that's where the cache is. The cache container is a standard ammo can.
  4. Advanced Search allows you to search goals. Just using Italy as the search term returned 12 TBs. The problem with advanced search is you can't limit it to your local area
  5. That is too cool! I tried calling and all the person did was pick up and hang up the phone without talking
  6. While I do love the voice prompting of my Garmin 2610 you can do quite well with a GPS that only beeps at you. I have made several trips using only my GPSMap 60C. It gives you enough advance notice of upcoming turns that all you really have to do is glace at the screen to see which direction to turn. I would recommend getting a dash mount kit and you can get a cable to run it off of external power so you don't go through batteries.
  7. Overhead at the MS-150 ride "Dang, that bike&ski person must be having some serious stomach issues - they keep jumping off their bike and running into the woods"
  8. The picture above is of a TB I currently have called The Seeing Eye Fish Shortly after I picked it up I received an email from the owner along with the following story: "The seeing eye fish is one of my TB's. The way he came about was at a geo-buddies meeting a fellow cacher was telling a story about buying his daughter a goldfish then remember he needed to grab something at Sams. When he started in the door the lady that checks your card told him no animals allowed. It was summer and to hot to leave the fish in the car, so quick thinking he told the lady. Oh it's alright he is a seeing eye fish! She said ok and let him in. We thought the story so funny we had to make a TB out of it." It instantly become one of my favorite TBs.
  9. Lately I've been buying some self-stick lamination sheets from Office Depot and then print the bug sheet and laminate it. When I print it I set the scale to 50% and then fold it in half. I think having the laminated card works just as well, if not better than the bag and bug sheet routine. I think my wife Donna is starting to get travel bug fever. This weekend while I was signing the log she was checking out the stuff in the cache and was pointing out those items that would and wouldn't make good travel bugs. I guess I need to order another 8 pack
  10. You'll want to check out the I-75 Caches Bookmark List by Scook. It contains lists of caches along I-75 in several states. Be sure to spend a little time here in Central Georgia cachin'
  11. Woody_K: Your best best is to send the TBXXXX number to contact@geocaching.com. Please keep us posted on how things turn out. What kind of motorcycle is that in your avatar?
  12. This Cache Listing does a very good job of telling you how to get to the cache without trespassing.
  13. I thought these were pretty flowers so we stopped and took pictures of 'em. and
  14. I have a mixture of both. One of mine has already met its ultimate goal and is now is out traveling around and others have met intermediate goals. My daughter's TB made it from here in Georgia to Edwards, CA and now is slowly coming back east. One thing I have noticed is that my TBs with mission sheets attached get moved more often than those that don't. Even if the goal is just to travel I'll be including mission sheets with all TBs I release from now on.
  15. Shebear: Was your cache page recently updated? I don't see anything on it that would have caused it to be listed as a prison. In fact it seems like an extremely safe hotel due to its location.
  16. It took me over an hour today to log a find, and then retrieve the TBs I dropped into the cache. Today is the worst I have ever seen the web site
  17. Woody_K: It only seems to be wrong on the page where all of your coins are listed. On the individual page it appears to be correct. Odd for sure.
  18. Mine are here as well. This is one of my favorite coins, by far.
  19. magellan315: Thanks for the suggestion. Several of us have been discussion this issue in our state-wide forum and it turns out the folks in Macon, GA (just north of us here in Warner Robins) are extremely willing to work with us to host a CITO event so we're going to have the event in Macon this year. With luck we'll get lots of positive press and then I'll make an appointment with the local parks director to let him know what could have been. I happen to be friends with a guy on the city council so I'm going to bring the issue up with him as well.
  20. Yet another missing TB shows up in the month of March. This is getting spooky!
  21. I don't know if there's any files showing the MARTA routes but Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport Bug Exchange is a good starting point. I'll see if I can dig up some caches that are MARTA friendly for you as well.
  22. You can also select caches with the 24/7 attribute to find ones you can do at night.
