  1. I sent a PayPal Payment for 2 coins on August 18 (Name: Martin Sommer).
  2. BTW: What is this thing about the "Cache-Blitz". There are "Millions" of these caches?
  3. @Half-Canadien: Thanks a bunch. This is too cool. BTW: I love high terrain ratings ;-), although I prefer traditionals. I already picked one of your caches near the border ;-). cheers, Martin
  4. Hi, I´d like to bring this topic back to the top. We are going to Vancouver und BC in April and are also looking for cool caches in the area. The pq alone produced more than 500 caches in Vancouver within 30-40 miles radius. We will not be able to complete them all ;-). Any recommendations? Thanks a bunch for your feedback. I really appreciate it. rgds, Martin
  5. Hi Nick, thanks for the info. 50? That´s not much. BTW: I´m in Saverne 3 or 4 times a year at the local offroad-park. And I also have a couple of your caches on my list. "Tres Tabernae" is one of them. Small World that is. rgds, Martin
  6. Hi, my name is Martin (aka JeeperMTJ on gc.com) and I am looking for a partner to complete the Sister geocache (GC4226). As Pérols near Montpellier is the sister city of my hometown "Flörsheim am Main" in Germany I was wondering if anybody from this area is willing to do this with me. You can find more information about the sister geocache here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...decrypt=y&log=y For anybody planning a vacation in France: Pérols is located in the departement Hérault (34) with the postal code is 34470, Région Languedoc Roussillon. Coords are: 43° 33' 51" , 3° 57' 15" or 43.5644 , 3.9544 Of course I will provide fotos and coords from Flörsheim for you own log. Hope to hear from anybody soon. rgds, Martin
  7. Your English is pretty good. Why not make your cache pages in German and English. It would certainly help us ignorant Brits when we come across to mainland Europe to geocache. BTW - like it or not, I can never resist taking dollar bills out of caches. A. Thanks I will do the translation over the weekend. I only wanted to wait for the first cachers to find the cache and see if I have change anything. Then I make the adjustments in one step. See my other cache GCHJ5M, it already has the english translation. To be honest: I couldn´t wait to get this cache approved and that why I didn´t bother with the english text. I figured the first visitors would be germans anyway. You see, germans can be far more ignorant than "Brits". BTW, look for the link of the "Stella Alpina" in GCHJ5M. Some "islanders" are going there every year with their bikes. Why not join them? Eat-Sleep-Jeep! JeeperMTJ
  8. @JMBella: Thanks. Where can I find this logo. I´d like to place it on the cache page.
  9. Thanks for the moral support. I guess you are right. One moment I thought about deleting the log. I was really pissed. Not because of the money. If you needed it, I wouldn´t have put there. But for those people who kick the idea of this game with their feet.
  10. Last weekend my first cache went online. In my opionion I put some pretty neat stuff in there and I extra made laminated "Souvenir Bagdes" for this cache. Also it had some (pre €uro) coins und 1 US dollar bill. Today somebody just took the dollar bill and left nothing behind. These are the people who don´t understand the whole game. This is the worst trade-down possible and it really annoyed me. What do you think about this and how would you handle this?
  11. I realized the same last weekend while out geocaching. We had some time left and decided to go for anonther cache. So I looked throuhg the ebook-file with geocaches in this area. Coordinates are really in the DD.DDDD-format. Which is pretty annoying since I have to change the settings in my GPSr, enter the waypoint and change it again. Especially on mulilevel caches where the coordinates for the next stage are given in the DD MM.MMMM-format.
  12. Last week I designed a new Travel Bug Sheet because I didn´t like the sheets I´ve found so far on w3. They are either to big oder are missing information which I consider as helpful, e.g. mission to travel to a specific country. In that case it might help that only people grab it that are really going to that country oder know how to get it there. I also included information about how to find the online Travel Bug Sheet and it´s origin. Of course you can also use the backside for additional information. My TB´s are then laminated with standard foil 75 x 105mm. Pls take a look at it. Is something missing? If you like you can download it here: Download MS Word *.Doc, 36KB rdgs, JeeperMTJ
  13. I had the same problem. If setting it to "medium" doesnt help, right click on the www.geoaching.com entry in the website list of the privacy tab. Klick options and disable all the blocking features for this site. Advantage: You can leave the general setting to htgh. Martin
  14. Me (JeeperMTJ) and my "personal government" Petra at "GCGWFY" near Frankfurt Airport / Germany.
  15. Thanks a lot. Pretty easy once you know how to do it. I came up with the problem on a multilevel cache where you were give new coordinates in one of the stages. Martin
  16. I wear the Garmont Tenere and my Caterpillar Boots Tennessee 6". The last I had for year and they are awesome.
  17. I have an Garmin GPS III and an IQUE 3600. So we always have a backup when we´re out geocaching. The IQUE also helps to find the best route by car to the cache.
  18. Same here .... Can anybody help??? I have double checked everything....
  19. Hi, I just got me an IQue 3600. I still have my GPS III tough :-). I also use Fugawi with the IQue. But mainly for offroad navigation when we´re out jeeping. I have two question, maybe one of you can help. 1. Is there a possibility to enter waypoints directly in the Fugawi PALM-Application. Not in the PC-Software, which works fine. I haven´t found a solution to this one yet 2. How do you enter waypoints in the IQUE the fastest way. The only thing I came up with was to use the Map Screen, then a click on the flag (which marks the current position) and then change this manually. But there must be a faster way, or? TIA for the help. Martin
